I backed away, this was just sad. No matter how dark the world becomes, the person shouldn't have done that. But there's nothing I can do about it, maybe he was just... tired
But where did the huge amount of energy come from?
The others were also fazed, no longer looking inside.
I have to confirm something so I got a closer look again.
I scanned it, my eyes reached it's face, it was a zombie?
So that's why it was twitching a little. He killed himself, not minding that he will actually turn.
I shivered when the zombie turned to look at me. He stared then shouted something.
I quickly ducked down as the window shattered.
"It has an ability!... Cindy!," I call. She focused on the zombie and it instantly stopped moving.
I jumped in through the window, Cyan quickly followed after scowling at me. If he's going to be this overprotective, I swear..
I ran towards the zombie but Mr. Clingy here beat me to it and he suddenly stopped when he realized he just had a gun as a weapon, he hit its head with the rifle but he didn't have Ejay's strength so he just maybe hurt the zombie.
I glared at Cyan as I jumped to chop at the zombie's forehead. It wasn't that hard maybe it's been dead for a while.
When I landed on the floor, I smirked at Cyan. He quickly looked away.
"Cool," Mel praised and I smiled.
"You guys here check the inside, I'm gonna check around the cabin, outside," I announce. Without waiting for their response, I got out through the window.
I ran around and when I reached the backyard, I was right. Three crosses were there, three graves. I don't need to be some genius to know that this must have been that dude's family. Maybe his wife and two kids? Since I noticed two of the crosses had a stuffed toy each while one had a necklace with a ring around it.
I dropped to my knees. I lost the feeling in my legs.
"Cres," I was shocked to hear Mel's voice, at least it wasn't Mr. Clingy.
"The others told me to follow you, in case something happe- oh my gosh," she exclaimed. I assume she saw the graves.
I just stared at the view in front of us while I was lying on the ground. Am I sad? Angry? What right do I have? I already killed a person. Is it even right that I'm alive?
"C-Cres, it's clear here outside, maybe we should go back," she said as she recovers from shock.
I simply nodded, she helped me up since I still felt so numb.
"Mel, when will this nightmare end?," I say taking one last look at the graves then turning around towards the cabin.
"This is our reality, it ends when we die," I looked at her expression when she said that.
It was solemn, and one thing's for sure. Fear.
Fear that one of us will also be 6 feet under... like Luke. I failed to save him. It's my fault.
We entered through the front door this time, since the others found the key.
"It's all clear," Chase announced. They were sitting on the couch.
There was a big long couch for 5 people and 2 mini ones that fit two each.
For such a small family, they had a lot of furniture.
