*It was dark by the time Douglas got off the bus, the darkness grows thicker and the moonlight strengthens almost twofold half an hour into his walk home*

Lowlife thugs are heard aggressively throwing demands and shouting remarks in the distance, a girls voice can be heard, faintly, ''You're pathetic'', she says calmly with confidence.

*The thugs circle her, cutting off any means of escaping, the tallest proceeds to shout down at her*

''Hand it over or we take it'' *he strokes the hair out of her face* ''actually, let me rethink what it is that I want, give us five seconds, oh- and um, yeah, Hank here, you remember Hank right; yeah, well it goes without saying, Hank will do what he pleases while me and Willis talk business''

''You're mine, you sack of meat; make life easy for me and throw the valuables in this bag''

She speaks up, taunting them, ''I don't owe you anything, in fact, you're lucky I don't call someone t-''

*her voice ... it's Sarah ..!*

*her phone is knocked out of her hand, it bounces across the floor*

*Chester lays a harsh blow on Hanks face* ''Are you completely insane? we didn't go through all this trouble, picking her out when she's alone just so you could drop a perfectly good phone ... I really don't get you sometimes''

*Willis stands there with a crooked back and laughs like a brainless Hyena*

''Sh'' *Chester muffles her and muffles Willis at the same time* ''Don't ... move'' *he listens out, turns, see's the shrubs move behind a fence behind them*

*Chester crosses his arms, Willis resumes his moronic sniggering*

*a howl is audible, close by*

*a wolf appears and starts to prowl, ever closer to the group*

''Get the hell out of here Willis, *Willis is yanked away*

*as they run in fear, Sarah stands still, trembling slightly*

*the wolf brushes takes its time to reach her, staring at her all the while*

*it brushes the side of its face against her leg and as she crouches down it rests its head on her lap, as if it is worn out from a recent act*

''It's ok ... there, there'' *her eyes give off confusion but also a strange, thankful warmth, she feels as though this warmth is returned for a split second before the wolf falls asleep out of sheer exhaustion*

*it lets out a single, low, almost amused-sounding howl before its eyes shut entirely and she can no longer see herself in them however, she keeps stroking its fur, gently but surely*

*fangs like first snowfall; eyes like the depths of a lake at the center of glimerring stars. It adorns a coat of mixed fur, strong tones of black on each moonlight-gray strand of irridescent hair. Streaks of white fur seem to blossom from the edges of its eyes, two uneven streaks, almost like tears, heading downwards in an adjacent manner, one ending just above its right thigh and the other, ending just below where a human's heart would be positioned* ...

*amazed by the specimen, Sarah loses track of time and finds herself asleep, even in the early hours of the morning, almost late for school, she awakes moments after a jolt of brisk air hits her*

''What, what is that light'' *she witnesses the sunrise; she stares in awe as if were her first time viewing this natural occurance* ''i've never been awake this early ..... so this is what I miss every day ...''

*the sun begins to hurt her eyes which are already aching due to sleep deprivation*

*she shields her eyes and stares down at her uncrossed legs*

*Sarah notices a pen on her leg, she picks it up, confused*

''One of those scumbags must have dropped this, well I-'' *she pauses and thinks back to a pen she knows all too well*

''It couldn't be, could it? I need some sleep, i'm not thinking straight ...''

*as she passes it off as nothing out of the ordinary, a set of eyes are upon her as she strolls away from the scene*

*a single tear trickles softly from them as the gaze vanishes*

*The tear was that of a human but the eyes that shed it ... those belonged to something else ...*
