I immediately snatched the piece of paper from his hand, he didn't seem to expect that. The bell rang, so I put the paper in my bag and ran into my exam hall. Thank God it was a language exam, or else I would've failed horribly.

After the exam, I went back to my class, and as I thought, everyone knew. The boys had already started making fun of me, but I didn't see Gage there at the time. The girls were also looking at me with suspicious eyes.

Another one of my stupid classmates, Alex, came to me and asked me, "Hey, is it true you wrote a love letter for Gage?".

What! How did it turn into that!? I looked at Tessa, one of my benchmates and asked her if she remembers that game we played.

Actually, when I was writing down "the love letter", she had almost caught me, so I told her I was preparing for a game where she had to guess the name of the person I wrote in my book.

Now back to our situation, I asked her if she remembers and she said, " I don't know anything". I felt so trapped. By who? Myself!

Now, stupid Alex wanted me to write 'I' in a piece of paper, for whatever reason that is. I purposefully wrote in a different handwriting, but I still don't get why I did that because the note's with me, so what difference was it gonna make?

The teacher came in and we all got seated. The few girls who didn't get what was going on wanted to know now, but Gage still didn't get to class. I didn't know whether to feel happy that he wouldn't know or be worried about what happened to him.

The teacher started taking the attendance, and a tall man with glasses came to our class. Peeking out from behind him was Gage! The man, who I think was his father, called out to the teacher.

While they were talking, Kevin and Alex were showing Gage some signals, but he didn't seem to get it. After the teacher was done talking, Gage left with his father.

So, atleast for the day, I was saved from being humiliated in front of him, but by the end of the day, all the eighth graders got the word.

Girls from different classes came and asked me about it too, and since I didn't have anyone to talk to, it was hard. Now the only thing I could do is wait till everyone forgets the whole thing, which I didn't think was gonna happen anytime soon.

'So much for living under the radar', I thought sarcastically.
