* Eva *

This morning was hell. That's all I can really say as I drug my feet into first period. I made sure to sit down slowly, trying not to jar my body too much. I don't know what's going on with my parents. Things have always been bad, but this is the extreme. They have never hit me before going to school or made me go without eating, and both of those things happened this morning. I wonder, if they are really that mad about this project. I didn't know that it was that big of a deal. Could they not either pretend to love me for an hour, or hide away in their room. I've had barely any sleep, haven't eaten in over 24 hours, and I don't say this often, but my body is killing me. I think the beatings are getting worse every day. Hell, I even had blood in my pee from the kick my dad delivered yesterday. Its not the first time though. Kidney shots do that to you for a few days, if it's bad enough, maybe even a week. It's kinda gross.

"Jeeze Barbie, you look like shit!"

Could I ever catch a break. I forgot about having him in this class. Ugh.

"Damn, and I was hoping it was all a nightmare. Guess I couldn't get that lucky huh?" I fired back.

"Eva, you have all the luck you need. Some people would be lucky to have all that you do. Stop complaining for once in your damned life. I bet you have no fucking idea what it's like to go without something.."

I couldn't help myself as I cut him off. How dare him. "And you do Thompson? Huh? Leave me the fuck alone. I'm not in the mood for your shit today and I'm seriously not gunna fucking put up with it. I told you yesterday. You don't know a damned thing. Play your pranks, trip me, do your worst. Just leave my life out of it."

Turning forward, I ignored anything else he had to say. I blocked everything out and closed my eyes.

*Aiken*

What the fuck was up with her? Don't get me wrong, she's always a bitch, but our fights never end that quick. Whatever, I will leave her alone for now. It would take a blind person not to be able to tell how tired she looked. I may be a dick, but I wouldn't want to ever cause any real damage. All I want is for her to just give up, and say I win. That's it. I would leave her alone after that. I want to prove to her that she can't win or get everything in life just by looking pretty. And I know the way I'm going to do it. The one thing that gets to her most, is talking about the one thing she tells me not to. Her life.

Hearing the bell ring, I look over to see that Eva is still passed out in her desk. This is gunna be fun I thought, rubbing my hands together. Walking over to the other side of her, I gave a hard enough shove to get her out of the desk, but not to hard to do any damage. A yelp sounded through the classroom, making the other students, including me laugh. That'll show her not to fall asleep while I'm around. I hurried out of the class room before she could catch me. Halfway down the hall, I hear a very angry yell. "You'll pay for that Thompson!"

Yeah, yeah, yeah. We'll see about that.

Physics, guitar, and english classes went by in a blur. And before I knew it, it was time for lunch. Taking my lunch tray to the table were all my friends were at, I stopped in my tracks. Eva had her hands on her hips, looking at me with a very calcuating eye. Taking a step back, I didn't want to know what she was planning.

"Oh, no, you don't mister!"

"What do you want, Barbie?"

"Well, you see. I was having this amazing dream where someone by the name of Aiken Thompson didn't exist. And everything was going perfect. Until I was pushed out of my chair and thrown back into reality. Now, maybe you can understand why I'm not too happy about that." She finished. I didn't notice that she had taken a few steps towards me, until she had grabbed my drink. The next thing I know, soda is being poured all down my face.

"But, now that I think about it, the payback was worth it!" She winked before sauntering off leaving me speechless.

Little bitch is going to get it, I thought while wiping my face off.

Stomping off after her, I slammed the cafeteria doors open. "EVA!"

Picking up the pace, I turned a corner only to run into something. I threw my arms out to catch myself, only to grab a hold of someone, and fall to the floor. My shoulder crashed into the ground, sending shooting pain down my arm.

"Oh my gosh im so sor... wait, you! Why the fuck did you run into me?"

"Get the fuck off me Barbie. You weigh a ton. I came to fucking yell at you for pulling that stunt back there. What the fuck is your problem?"

A menacing laugh rang through the halls until she calmed herself down, turning a hateful gaze my way. "Me? What is wrong with me? Are you crazy! You shove me out of my chair, and yesterday you tripped me while I was running. Say I'm a stuck up, rich bitch that has a perfect life and does nothing for myself. And you ask me what my problem is? Can't take a little payback? Fuck off Aiken."

As she walked away, I couldn't stop thinking that this was going to be the longest semester ever.
