Arianna's POV

I whirled around.

"You creep!" I growled through clenched teeth. Luke simply smirked that stupid smirk. Oh how I wish I could smack it off his face.

No... that would not go down well... that would simply delay my car key return date.

I slid into the seat in the very back of the bus, Luke going to the seat next to mine.

i actually opened my phone and went to my messages. I had no new ones but I wanted to keep busy.

I went to Candy Crush.

I was actually very good at this game. I was on level 15 and I had just started the game like, three months ago.

So not that good.

After a few minutes, I saw Luke watching me play out of the corner of my eye.

"Haha Ari you're so bad at that game." He laughed. I glared.

"Well what level are you on, smarty pants?" (pun intended... smarty? smarties? lol no? ok..)

"30. A whole fifteen levels ahead of you." He bragged. I cant lie. That was a really good level to be on.

I rolled my eyes and went back to my phone.

"If you want, I can help you." He said.

"Uhh I dont want your hands touching my iPhone. Thanks but no thanks." I said.

"Hey! Whatever you say, babe." Luke chuckled.

I froze.

Babe?

"Dont call me that, stupid." I snapped.

"Ooohh such a rude insult." Luke said, waving his hands sarcastically.

The bus pulled to a stop outside the bus stop and I eagerly grabbed my book bag before racing off the bus and literally jumping off the stairs. I didnt bother waiting for Luke before hurrying down the street to my house. When i unlocked the door, I ran up the stairs to my bedroom and dumped my backpack on the bed.

I wanted to see where Luke lived.

He walked down the street past my house, paying no attention to my house as he passed. He kept walking until he reached a point that I couldnt see.

I ran back downstairs outside and watched him disappear around the corner.

Where did that boy live?

And more importantly... why did i care so much??
