this part is taken from the movie Keith I just adapted it to be luke enjoy :)
i sat on my bed on a late saturday evening, reblogging stuff on tumblr, when i got a text.
from luke: hey do you maybe wanna hangout
i thought for a moment. luke is a cute boy, why not?
to luke: sure :)
from luke: ok come outside
i frowned. luke was outside my house?
i closed my laptop and put a loose sweater over my white tee shirt. i checked my appearance in the mirror. i was not very satisfied but excited to see luke so i ran down my stairs, tied my black and white converse on and opened my front door.
"what are you doing here?" i asked the boy sitting on my porch railing.
"i wanted to hang out." he shurgged and jumped off the railing and into the grass below.
"what if i had said no?" i walked down the porch steps onto my pebble walkway.
"then i would have went home." he gazed at me over his shoulder.
i looked over at his car. "why do you walk to school if you have a car?"
he raised one eyebrow. "mind answering that for me also?" he nodded his head towards my vintage yellow truck in the driveway.
"mine doesn't work." i shrugged. i really wish it did too; its a chevy stepside from the 60's.
"oh." he stared at my truck and got in his car.
i put my seatbelt on and put my hands in my lap. "where are we going?"
"thrift store!" he pulled out of my driveway and turned right.
"i didn't bring money." i frowned mostly because i love thrift stores. i love the idea of who could have worn this piece of clothing or where a piece of furniture had been sitting for years.
"i've got it covered." he winked and then laughed. luke was playful and his smile was gentle; two of the things i thought was cool about him. "and hey wheres the yellow coat today?" he pouted.
"i let him have a day off." i smirked and stared straight ahead at the road.
we arrived at the thrift store and walked inside. lukes attention went straight to the huge hats in the back of the store. we tried them on in front of the mirror. the hats looked ridiculous on luke, considering he was wearing all black and was a giraffe compared to the old ladies roaming the store.
luke and i messed around in the store for a while more until luke got a phone call.
we were just sobering up from a laugh and then luke gave me the finger to wait one second, smiling at me as he took the call.
"hello?" he said into the phone with an annoyed tone, but then turned to me and laughed without a sound.
i heard some loud screaming coming from the phone.
"whoa chill out roxy. i'm hanging out with a friend." his smile faded and a frown appeared on him.
"maybe tomorrow!" he raised his voice at the person in the phone. i was now frowning too. what was making luke so upset?
luke said a quick goodbye and then hung up.
"my girlfriend is so annoying." luke said and continued on about how she always wanted to be with him or something like that as he looked through a near bookshelf.
