Kylie-
"Happy birthday, girls!' My mom sing songs, walking into mine and my sister's room. I look up from my book to see that she has two envelopes in her hand. She always gets a card on our birthday. It always has five hundred dollars in it too.

"Thanks," I mumble, looking back down at my book and continuing to read. Right now, the main guy of the book, Augustus, is telling the main girl, Hazel, about his cancer problems. It's sad really. And every time I put the book down, I start thinking. Like, which one will die first?

"I- I got you girls something a little more than just a card and five hundred dollars this year," My mom says. I huff and put my book down. Nikki, my sister, stands up and walks over to my mom. I follow her actions as I begin to feel a bit anxious as to what our mother has gotten us.

"I know how much you girls like them... And I know it's just a piece of paper, but..," She hands us both an envelope. "Enjoy, and be sure not to scream to loud."

Nikki and I both open it. And it's another card. "Scre-" Just then, I hear a loud scream from Nikki.

"OH MY GOSH! No way!" She yells and hugs my mother. I open up the card, and in front of me sits the most precious piece of paper I've seen in my Life.

"We're going to see One Direction!" I scream and jump up and down before hugging my mom. "How the hell did you get these?"

"Well, I know a guy who knows a guy, who knows a woman, who's cousin is friends with Harry Styles. But, you guys think that's the best part? Be ready by six and I'll take you both to your next gift." My mother informs with a cheeky smile before turning on her heel and exiting the room, leaving Nikki and I both really excited, anxious and confused at the same time.
-

Mom said to be ready by six, and it's three thirty now. What if her next gift for us is something we have to be fancy for. Ha! Mom being fancy? Please! So, what should I wear then?

"I'm gonna go hop in the shower." I speak up. Nikki just nods and continues staring at pictures of hot guys. I roll my eyes and walk over to my dresser. I open the top drawer and pull out a black bra and black laced panties to go with them.

"Are you really going to that thing that mom has planned for us?" Nikki asks eyeing me.

"Yeah," I say slowly. "Is there a problem with that?"

"No, I was thinking about ditching. 'Cause you know how mom is." she yawns and props her feet up on her desk.

"I'm going because it'll make mom happy. Besides, what if it's something like really cool?" I question, closing the first drawer and opening the second one. I decide on a pair of ripped up black skinny jeans before moving on to third drawer.

"Are you crazy," Nikki asks taking a selfie. "Mom and cool don't go in the same sentence. That's not possible. and let it break mom's heart. I don't give a damn."

"Nikki," I scold. "Mom just bought us One Direction tickets, and you're just going to let her down like that?"

"Yeah. So what," She rolls her eyes.

"You're a total bitch, you know that right?" i point out before pulling out an old faded Nirvana tee. Then I open my fourth drawer and grab a pair of black no- show socks. The perfect outfit for me, if I do say so myself.

"Yeah. You know, I've heard that one before." She mumbles.

"You need to loosen up on mom. She's been through a lot, ya know?" I walk over to my shoe closet and open it before walking in. I look around me before spotting the perfect pair of Vans. They're red on white. They're also my favourite pair.
