Captured

Chapter 9 Shock

"It's been two weeks and all my leads point me here", Rain said to herself as she stood infront of a worn down gate right outside of town.

     Rain shook the gate noticing the large lock and chain connecting the two gates together. She bent her knees and jumped over the gates with ease.

"I guess what they did to me did have it's advantages", Rain said to herself as she began to walk to an abandon mansion.

"This place is gorgous", Rain said as she opened the door to the mansion.

     A gunshot rang out through the mansion. Rain ran up the large marble staircase, following the screams. She ran down many hallways searching for the source of the screams.

"Get out!", a women screamed

     Rain burst through the door and froze in place. She seen a women who looks exactly like the picture Gabriel gave her and Lorren. He had a knife against the womens neck as he stared into Rains eyes.

"You know what you did to me. You'll be dead before you can even blink", Rain said with pure hatred in her eyes.

"I'll be back.... for you", Lorren smirked before he jumped out of the nearest window.

     Rain ignored him and slowly walked toward the women.

"Um miss, are you ok?", Rain asked softly as the women continued to stare at Rain with tears in her eyes.

"You're alive", the women said now crying. Rain looked at her utterly confused.

"They took you away, they thought I was dead", the women said

"Miss, I'm not sure what you're talking about"

"When you were born the docters thought I had died so they took you and put you in foster care. When I woke up I was in the morgue. I looked for you everywhere but I couldn't find you"

"Miss-"

"Evangeline", the woman inturrupted

"Um Evangeline, I'm not sure I follow?"

"Im your mother"

"What"

     Rain stared into Evangeline's soft green eyes as she concentrated on her heartbeat.

"You aren't lying", Rain said shocked

"Of course not"

"Why did you cheat on the King with a human?"

"I never cheated on him"

"But, why am I half human"

"Baby, when you were born you had lost alot of blood. The docters did a blood transfusion. When those demons captured me they told me the human blood was wearing off. They said that was the only way for you to succeed. So they continued to inject you with human blood"

"But.... who's my father?"

"Isn't it obvious. The King is, I left when I was pregnant with you. I was on my way to tell him the news and then I seen him with his mistress"

"That wasn't his mistress'

"What?", Evangeline asked shocked

"He tried pushing away but she was persistant. He loves you uncontrollably, all these years he's been searching for you and not once he had another women with him. He and your son-", Rain stopped midsentence as her eyes widened

"Gabriel's my brother!", Rain shouted

     Evangeline chuckled and said, "Yes he is. Will you take me back to John"

"Who's John?"

"O I mean the King but first will you take me to Gabriel"

"Of course"

     Evangeline and Rain began to walk out of the mansion

"Also congradulations", Evangeline said as they walked out of the gates.

"For what", Rain asked confused

"You don't know?"

"Know what?"

"You're pregnant"
