(I know I don't normally add outfits for this story, but I was really feeling the 'Cottagecore'/'Library Soft' aesthetic for Dri in this chapter. There's a playlist on Spotify called Cottagecore and it's by Fresaemoji and I highly recommend listening to it, i did while writing this chapter. Also, the house shown above is the house that Dri's parents raised her in and the one she lives in now with Loki.)

I push my bike pedals, riding through the streets. My hair blows in the wind as I hum Put Your Records On by Corinne Bailey Rae. Pulling up to the house, I park my bike. I walk to the mailbox and grab the mail before walking back to my bike. Holding the letters in my mouth, I grab the box and tote bags out of the basket on the front of my bike. Climbing up the front steps, I pull the keys out of my skirt pocket. I unlock the door and push it open. Seeing that nothing has moved since I left, I come to the conclusion that Loki is still asleep. I carry the load into the kitchen and set everything down on the table. I start a kettle on the stove for tea as I look through the mail. I see one addressed to Loki and instantly know what it is. With a smile, I set it on the end of the bar. I begin shuffling through the reusable totebags on the table. I pull out the fresh produce and get ready on making breakfast. As I'm setting up the plates, I hear Loki come down the stairs. "Good morning," I say with a big smile. I look up to see him still in his pajamas.

I looks at the beautiful display in front of him. "What is all this?" He asks, confused.

"Souffle pancakes, fresh fruit, and herbal tea." I say, placing the beautifully arranges plates on the table, across from each other.

"No, No... I meant... Why?"

I dust my hands on my apron before pulling it off. "I felt like doing something special. Can't I do something special for someone special?" I don't blame him for not remembering today. It was so long ago. I lead him to table and we both sit down for breakfast. "So, I was thinking we could go to the park today."

"Really?" He asks with a smile. He loves the park. It reminds of Asgard.

"Yeah. I'll pack our bag when we're done."

We finish breakfast and I grab the letter off of the bar. "Oh, this came for you in the mail today."

"I don't get mail."

"You did today." I say with a smile.

I watch as he opens it. He reads over it. "Dri...?"

"That is your honorary citizenship. Every Asgardian gets honorary citizenship of the country they live. Thor got his a while back. It's part of the Peace and Welcome Act."

"The what?"

"After everything with... well, after everything, every country that is a part of the UN signed this treaty and we all passed this act to help Asgardians, and any galactic refugees in the future, acclimate better after a tragedy." He reads the document carefully. I nod and take a breath. "Well, I'm going to get packed for the park." I smile and walk away. Into a small, brown corduroy bag, I pack some drinks, our park blanket, some snacks, a small speaker, the book we're currently reading,  and my camera. I sit in the living room and wait on Loki to get ready. He soon walks up to me in a black sweater and black jeans. I let out a small laugh at his outfit before standing on my toes and kissing him.

After spending a few hours walking around and goofing off, we find a nice, secluded spot in the park. I spread the thin blanket on the grass. After Loki sits, I lay on my back, putting my head on his lap. I listen as he cracks open the book. He begins reading in his smooth voice. "Later, as he sat on his balcony eating the dog, Dr Robert Laing reflected on the unusual events that had taken place within this huge apartment building during the previous three months. Now that everything had returned to normal, he was surprised that there had been no obvious beginning, no point beyond which their lives had moved into a clearly more sinister dimension." I listen closely as he reads The High Rise (Did I pick a book that Tom Hiddleston narrated so you could hear his voice read it to you? Yes. You're welcome. Just search "The High Rise Tom Hiddleston" and it's the 6 hour long video.) Seeing a group of flowers growing out of the ground beside our blanket, I reach over and pluck two, leaving the rest. I tuck one on top of Loki's ear and then on my own.

+Loki's POV+

I listen to Dri's slowing breathing. She fell asleep and I decided to stop reading, so she wouldn't miss anything. Being careful not to wake her, I pull her camera from the bag. A smile creeps onto my face as I take a picture of her. Moments later, I watch as the photo slides out from the camera. I remember when she first taught me how to use this.

"Now, you just press this button." Dri says from above me. I do so, keeping my eye on the small kittens asleep in the bed.

"Are you sure we have to get rid of them?" I ask her.

She sighs, taking the camera from me. "Sadly, yes. Which is why we're getting a picture of them now and putting them in the Pet Book." She says, grabbing the picture that comes out of the camera.

"The Pet Book?" I ask, confused.

"Well, pets are family members, so we like to keep memories of them," she grabs my hand and pulls me over to the bookshelf near the fireplace. Then she pulls a small, white book from the shelf. I watch her closely as she explains every pet in the book. I catch my eyes drift to her lips as she talks. Out of habit, I bite my lip softly to stop from smiling. "Sorry, you must think this is silly."

I'm snapped out of my thoughts. "No, not boring at all."

"You seem distracted, though..."

I'm distracted by your beauty. "I was just thinking about muffins. It's been a while since we've had them."

She laughs softly. "I'll make sure to make you some tomorrow morning."

I notice her brows draw together, in an emotion I haven't see from her in a while. Before I could enter her mind, to see her dream, her eyes flutter open. Her eyes land on my face and she instantly smiles. "What?" I ask.

"Nothing," She says, not looking away or dropping her smile. She sits up and I keep my eyes on her. "What?" She laughs.

"You're beautiful," I say. She laughs softly and looks away. I reach over and lightly grab her chin, turning her face to me. I softly kiss her. When we pull apart, she looks up at the sky. I do so as well. "It's going to rain."

"Yeah. Should we start walking home?" I nod and we begin packing our things.

During our walk home, it's starts raining. It's not a heavy rain, but not a sprinkle either. While I try to protect myself from the rain, Dri dances around, enjoying the weather. I laugh as she jumps in a small puddle and has fun. It looks like nothing has ever gone wrong in her life, like she's never been hurt. I don't know how I'm going to tell her...
