Arya kept true to her word.
After she killed the General and Estelle all of the vampire clans planned to go against The Resistance. They wished to wipe out the human race completely by placing all of them who remained in Harvesting Farms. Since Arya held most of the power; she convinced them to sign a treaty with the humans. It took months before everyone agreed.
It was to be called The Equal Rights Movement.
The vampires and the humans would live alongside each other and they would share resources. Those who refused to live by this new form of living would be sent away to a prison on some remote island.
It turns out that there were more humans left than I had initially believed.
Certain countries had been able to live separate from the vampires' rule such as Australia and Japan.
What did my death mean in all of this?
To most people, like my father, it meant nothing, I was just another casualty.
To Ami it meant everything. It lit a fire inside in her so strong that she started to rebel against my father. Many people had seen my father's true brutal nature and they stood with Ami against my father.
She became the leader The Resistance needed. After time she became more than that.
My father never showed any remorse; not even at my funeral.
He did however give up to Ami and her forces eventually after he figured out that she had more people on her side. His belief that in order to be a leader you had to be feared was wrong. The people loved Ami and that is why they were loyal to her.
He died shortly afterwards of pneumonia alone in a cabin in the woods.
Ami was the one who initiated the treaty with Arya and they began to rule alongside each other. Ami became the first female President of the new United World.
It is strange.
I never imagined that Arya would agree to The Equal Rights Movement.
She was the last person I thought would stand up for human rights and many of the vampires hated her for it, but because she was now the most powerful Eersteling left they had to comply.
I wonder sometimes if we could not have come to this conclusion before all of the blood shed; if we could not have decided to live alongside each other before people like Anthony and George and my mother and sister had to die. So many people who are more than just casualties of war. They are people. They had families. They had friends. They deserve to be remembered as more than just a number. That is unfortunately not something that can be changed. All those mass graves with humans who were stripped of their names.
Doctor Maxwell came up with a substance that would diminish a vampire's thirst that drove them. Many of them chose to drink it, while others refused.
They had to drink the new substance once a week and it would give them all the necessary fluids that they needed to survive, but it also drowned out that ache and dire need for human blood.
Without that hunger that drove them many of the vampires began to change. They would never be human again, but at least they could live a life free of pain; that is if they chose it.
The choice was simple; give up your power and live a life without the pain, or they could keep all of their power and have to live with the pain that would plague them for centuries to come.
The new substance was called;
Hunter X.

VampireThis is my story. This is how I, Hunter Cross, became a slave. This is not a story where a human falls in love with a vampire. This is a story of pain, of abuse, of fear, of blood and dirt. As you read this you can already assume that I made it...
