"Imogen, are you sure that this is the right thing to do? The sign clearly says no entry" I say nervously looking around.
"Trust me! I have done this 100 times before and I have never been caught, now are you going to stand there and frown or are you going to help me? Imogen says sassily
I sigh looking around the mall car park one last time before getting down on my hands and knees allowing Imogen to stand on my back and attempt to climb the fence.
"Is there a valid reason for doing this?" I groan from the ground
"Obviously we are doing this so that we can cut the lines!" She exclaims
"Excuse me but what are you doing?" A voice says from behind me
God dammit I told Imogen we'd be caught.
Imogen slides off my back and I get up and look at the ground not wanting to face the man in front of me
"Sorry Sir, my colleague and I have seemed to have lost our security passes so we have no choice but to climb this fence" Imogen lies
"Oh, okay. Do you want a hand or something?" He asked
"Can you just give Lilly a boost when she gets me up and over?" Imogen asks politely
"Sure, do you want me to lift you up or..." The man trails off
"Nah that's fine, Lilly can manage"
And with that, I'm back on my hands and knees. Imogen manages to get over so I pick myself up and brush myself off.
I look at the man for the first time and realise that he isn't an old man like I thought he was, he looks my age, 19.
"I'm Lilly by the way"
"Calum, so are you from around here?"
"Firstly, yes we are from America, LA to be exact, well I am anyway, Calum can you lift her up, we are going to be late" Imogen urges
Calum frowns but lifts me up high enough so I can get to the other side of the fence.
"Thanks Calum, hope I can see you again" I smile
"Bye Lilly"
"Ahem" Imogen fake coughs
"See you Imogen"
Imogen waves and grabs my hand and we run away down the back of the mall car park.
"He so had a crush on you and you guys can date and make pretty Asian babies" Imogen rambles.
I laugh and hit her shoulder, she joins in laughing and before we know it we are both rolling around on the ground laughing.
"Excuse me, are you meant to be here" a voice says from behind us
"Sorry Sir, we are just mucking around" I say in what I think is a fancy voice
"We have seem to have lost our security cards so we are just waiting for a friend to drop them off for us" Imogen lies
The guy who looks slightly older than us frowns then grins
"Okay then! I'm Ashton" he introduces
"I'm Lilly and this is Imogen" I say motioning to myself and then Imogen.
"Listen we have go do... Security stuff but have fun Mister" Imogen says backing away. I'm guess that the shops are going to open soon.
Ashton gives us a puzzled look but before he can say anything we turn around and run away laughing.
We enter the actual mall and look around the empty building. This is the perk of breaking the rules with Imogen.
We sit right in the middle of the ground and look around.
"Security stuff?" I ask seriously
Imogen shrugs "if I didn't say something soon, I might have passed out from his hotness"
I start laughing and then Imogen joins in.
"Oh! There's a band playing here today, we should stay and watch them" Imogen suggests after recovering from her laugh attack.
"Ooooo, I hope it's a good band, unlike last week"
Every week our local mall lets a band play for an hour, last week's band sucked. Last weeks band was Imogen and I. We sucked. A lot.
"Speak for yourself, I thought last weeks band was incredible!" Imogen gasps
"Honey, we were called lil' Lilly and co
face it, we sucked" I laugh
"Okay, I admit we kinda sucked"
"Hi again!" A voice says approaching us
Imogen and I quickly turn around and face the familiar face.
"Hey Calum! Long time no see" Imogen jokes
"Did you guys end up finding your passes?" Calum says sitting down
next to me
Imogen and I look at each other in confusion and then it finally clicks, that was our excuse.
"No, not just yet but we think our friends have it, anyway what are you doing here so early?" Imogen rambles
"My band is playing here today, we have to set up and practise and stuff" Calum smiles
"Did you see last weeks band?" I ask
"No, this is our first time at this mall, our manager suggested that we give the fans a treat and give them a free concert" Calum grins showing off his incredible jaw line
"So your band is pretty big then?" Imogen asks
"Something like that but-" Calum starts before being interrupted by a girl coming up to us
"Hi Calum! Can I please have your autograph?" The girl grins handing him a piece of papers
"Sure thing, what's your name?" Calum smiles standing up
"Delilah, oh my gosh I have got my first Asian friend" Delilah exclaims
Calum frowns but signs the paper anyway, he gives Delilah a hug and sits next to me again
"You know what I hate, getting called an Asian when I'm clearly not" Calum sighs
"Same" I agree
Imogen and Calum both look at me confused
"You're not Asian?" Calum asks
"Oh no I am but that's beside the point, anyway where are you from?" I ask
"Oh my god that made my day, I come from New Zealand, my mum is Maori" Calum laughs
"Maori?" Imogen says confused
"Native New Zealander" Calum explains
Imogen and I both nod.
"Imogen, Lilly?" A voice calls from behind us.
"Lilly, run. It's Katherine" Imogen whispers.
"Listen we got to go so some... Security stuff but we'll see you at your concert yeah?" I quickly say but before he can reply Imogen grabs my hand and we run into the bathroom.
"Security stuff?"
