Chapter 2

"God, I hate Katherine" Imogen groans from in front of me

"I know! Ugh she thinks she's so much cooler than us but honey we aren't the failed our last year of high school"

Imogen finally gets her wish as we are now at the check out for some shop she likes.

"So Calum?"Imogen says wiggling her eyebrows as she swipes her card down the pin pad.

I nudge her in the ribs and groan

"I barely know him, besides, I promised my mother, I'd marry an Asian, she'd be devastated if I didn't" I say as we walk out the store with the numerous bags of clothing.

Imogen laughs and I nudge her.

"Shall we go watch Calum and his band?" I suggest

"We shall"

Outside Kmart as usual there is a stage set up with drums at the back. The data projector hasn't been turned on but I dread the minute it does get turned on.

"Hey guys and welcome to Westfield!" A guy says walking onto the stage

"They need to make a hot guy the host" I mutter to Imogen

They use the same host every week and he says the same thing every single week.

"This week we have a famous band performing for us but before they come on, let's watch last weeks performers"

I turn to Imogen and see her hiding her face in embarrassment.

The data projector shows a couple minutes worth of Imogen and I trying to sing and rap to rap god, anaconda and the real slim shady.

"Why did you let me do that" I mutter again and she has tears of laughter in her eyes.

"I didn't know they recorded it" She laughs

Once the final line of anaconda finishes the crowd bursts into laughter.

"That was lil' Lilly and co, hopefully they'll come back and perform for us next week!" The host laughs

"Anyway, this weeks band is a famous one but maybe with a little help lil' Lilly and co can become famous" The host jokes causing the crowd to roar in laughter.

"Okay, okay, that's enough, I present to you... 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER!" The host finally gets off the stage to be replaced with a 4 freakishly tall guys

Calum gives us a small wave which we return.

"Is that Ashton?!" Imogen gasps pointing at the curly blonde sitting at the drums

"Well frack a moose, it is" I state.

"Hi guys! We're 5 seconds of summer and we're going to sing a couple songs for you" A guy with bright red hair says holding an electric guitar.

"So first we're going to sing Don't Stop" A freakishly tall blonde guy says holding the microphone.

"You're like perfection some kind of holiday..."

"Tell me this is just a dream cause I'm really not fine at all"

"Thanks guys!" Calum grins

They leave their guitars in the stage and walk 'backstage' which in reality is the back of the mall.

Everyone eventually leaves and continued their shopping, except for Imogen and I, we decide to sit on the edge of the stage.

"We could put that video on YouTube and make millions" Imogen gasped

"Hey lil' Lilly, hey co" a voice from behind me laughs

"Hey Calum" Imogen grins

Calum sits behind the middle of us, so we were sitting in a triangle

"Don't ever speak of that again" I attempt to threaten

"Why not, I bet you scared every anaconda for miles" He smiles

"Frack you"

"Tell me about yourself" Calum smiles

"Well my birth name is Imogen Grace Thomas, I am 20, I am the coolest person you'll ever meet and I have lived in LA all my life" Imogen rambles.

"What about you Lilly?" Calum asks

"Well my birth name is Lilly Song, my mother is from Thailand,my father is from China, I was born in Thailand but I moved to America when I was very young, I can speak English, Thai and mandarin and I am probably the uncoolest person you'll ever meet" I shrug.

"After seeing that video I'd say you guys are definitely the coolest people I have ever meet" Calum grins

"Don't talk about it! I was bribed!" I groan

"Did you guys enjoy the show?" Calum chuckles

"Yeah! I really like that one about the girl having heart dilemmas" Imogen grins

"I liked good girls and the only reason" I shyly smile.

"You guys were much better than us by far" Calum states seriously

"I know, I'm going to put it on YouTube" Imogen agrees

"I was the lead singer and I don't give you permission" I groan

"You see, Lilly here is actually an incredible singer, don't base your judgements on that video" Imogen grins.

I put my head into my hands, it was true though, I can sing but I didn't want Calum to know that.

"I have to go but we have to catch up again sometime" Calum says getting up to leave.

"Bye Cally" Imogen grins

"Bye Imo" Calum grins

"See you later Calum"

"Bye lil Lilly"

"Frack you"
