The bell rung. Maya and Lucas were still in the hall. They walked into class together. "Mr. Frier Ms. Hart you are both late. Why?" Mr. Matthews asked. "Ummm we were ummmm in the hall." Maya and Lucas said together. Lucas saved them by saying "I was helping Maya she couldn't get her locker open she left her history book in there."
