Flash couldn't help it. He burst into tears, waterfalls falling from his eyes. Twilight was dead, and he was supposed to protect her. It was his fault. "Such a sad story, but it appears this is where it ends." Midnight said with fake sympathy. Flash couldn't think straight. He didn't know what to do.

Nothing moved, no one spoke. It was too much to take in. All of the princess's friends also began to cry, and then Cadence and Shining. The whole place was dreary, many weeping for the loss of their princess. No, flash thought, something rising in him. She was MY princess.

The DraquiPonies and their leader were enjoying this moment, and it hurt Flash more than anything. He then looked at Twilight. Before he knew it, he was bending down, and kissed her, on the lips. "I love you too," He whispered. "Awww," The leader mocked. "How incredibly touching. But I'm afraid that I must dispose of all your worthless ponies if I am to succeed."

She turned towards the rest of the royalty. "Stay back, monster," Cadence choked, tears still pouring down her face. But Midnight payed no attention to the glowing blue cream colored Pegasus in the back. He wore a look of pure hatred as he stood, and made his way over to the filthy leader. "She's right," He said when he was only a few inches away from her. "You are a monster."

"I agree!" An unfamiliar voice yelled. A creature was shrouded in a blue coat, walking towards them. It ripped the cloak off to reveal a pretty, crystal pink coat, glossy, curly blue mane, and matching eyes. "Hope you didn't miss me for too long!" She smiled, but it quickly faded when she looked at Midnight.

Flash still took no notice of the world around him. Twilight was dead, Spike was dead, Shadow was dead, Magenta was probably dead.... He was done with all the deaths, all the blood. He was done with it all. "FOR TWILIGHT!" He screamed, charging at Midnight. He couldn't tell, but he thought he saw all the other ponies trying to kill her, too. "Fight, my army! Fight!" She ordered. But the Draqui nor the Windigos who were watching from above did nothing.

"You..." Flash scowled when Midnight was on the floor. Her flank bled horribly, her horn was half gone, and her entire body was covered in dirt and blood. "You will never rule equestria, and you will NEVER stop Twilight and I from loving each other." He looked back at his love, then at the leader. "But I can stop you," He glowed a magnificent blue again, and in a second Midnight Red was nothing more than a pile of ash.
