Taehyung sat across from his best friend and stared at him with puppy eyes. Jimin sighed, feeling a bit annoyed. He placed the marker down and grabbed another color as he looked up at the boy in front in front of him. "Taehyungie, it is not that hard to order the pizza. Just call the number and ask. They won't even know what you look like if you stumble on your words." He says, taking the cap off the marker and coloring one of the letters from the poster he was making.
"They won't know what I look like, but they sure as hell would remember what I sound like and will make fun of me once I hang up the phone. They will remember me as the kid who couldn't order a pizza." Taehyung frowned, looking down at the phone with the number displayed on it. "I would call, but I have to make sure this poster is perfect. Many people will see it and it would be an embarrassment if it doesn't look good enough."
He reached over for the stickers and stuck a few around the poster once he finished coloring the letters he drew. "I told you to get letter stickers. It would have been so much easier." Taehyung says, rolling his eyes and pressing the call button.
Jimin was excited. Today was the day he was going to meet the foreign exchange student from South Korea. Every school year, kids will come from Korea to America and study there for the school year before returning home for the summer. This was Jimin's first year being one of the families who would take the foreign exchange students to live with them.
Taehyung's family happened to do the exact same, but he really wasn't phased by it. Jimin lifted up the poster from the table and held it up in front of him. He waited for Taehyung to finish ordering the pizza to ask for his opinion. Once he was done ordering, Taehyung looked at the poster and tilted his head to the side. "Looks pretty good to me."
Jimin's mom walked in shortly after with a small frown on her face. "There wasn't enough spots on the plane for the other students to come, so Jeongguk will be coming tomorrow. However, Taehyung's will be coming today." She said, looking over at the poster Jimin was holding up. A frown came to Jimin's face. Taehyung's too. Why? Because he wasn't looking forward to sharing his room.
"You're lucky Jeongguk gets a separate room." Taehyung muttered, grabbing his jacket. "I should probably head home then since they won't be coming together." Taehyung says. "What are we going to do about the pizza?" Jimin says with a frown still on his face. "I'll have you guys reorder tomorrow. Taehyung can take this one." She says, taking money out from her wallet and passing it to Taehyung.

Taehyung's parents had picked him up from Jimin's house before heading off to the airport. The smell of the pizza in the car was making his stomach grumble. "We should have left the pizza at home. I am getting so hungry!" Taehyung groaned, trying to secretly open the box and take a piece. "Taehyung, we are almost there!" His mother scolded him. "First I have to share a room and now I am gonna have to share my food? Give me a break!"
His mom chose to ignore him as they finally made their way to the airport. Taehyung wished Jimin and his family came with him. He was not only feeling slightly annoyed, but he was feeling nervous because he had never had someone other than his parents live with him before. Jimin had slept over plenty of times, but this was different since this person was a complete stranger. He grew up being an only child and his parents told him to think of the student as a brother.
They also wanted to be a host family because they felt like Taehyung should have a friend other than Jimin, but neither of the boys have to know that.
"I should have made a poster like Jimin." He says as they get out of the car and walked towards the entrance of the airport. They stood there for a few minutes, Taehyung noticing a few kids from his school also waiting for these exchange students to appear. "We don't even know what he looks like." Taehyung mumbled to himself, suddenly seeing a bunch of students coming off an airplane and into the airport. "There he is!" His father says, waving his hand and shouting out a name. The boy noticed them quickly, walking over to them with a huge smile on his face.
"It is so good to meet you! Thank you!" The boy says in broken english. Taehyung couldn't believe how handsome he was and the beautiful bright glow that came with him. He didn't even bother to ask how his parents knew which boy it was from the crowd or even annoyed with the fact that he had to share a room. "Are all the people from this program good looking or is it just me?" Taehyung said, his cheeks heating up as he said that out loud. The boy in front of him began to laugh along with Taehyung's parents.
"Hoseok, this is Taehyung. You will be staying with him in his room and will be going to school with him until the semesters are over." His mother says. Hoseok nodded and stuck his hand out to shake Taehyung's.
"Welcome to America." Taehyung says, shaking the boys hand.

"You sound too excited for a boy who was annoyed about sharing his room." Jimin says as he sat on his bed. He was on the phone with Taehyung, listening to all the things Taehyung was saying about Hoseok. "You sound like you have a huge crush on him." Jimin says, causing Taehyung to laugh. "No! They all just seem to look so attractive. Makes me wonder what Jeongguk is going to look like. I hope he wasn't like the other guy Hoseok was talking to before we left. He seemed so bored to be there. Kept saying he was tired or something." Taehyung says, remembering the boys name. "His name is Yoongi and he's two grades above us. Hoseok is a grade under him. Do you think Jeongguk is a freshman?"
"I hope so. We will finally have someone else in our group." Jimin says, shaking his head even though Taehyung couldn't see. "Hey! Are you getting sick of me?" Taehyung says, pretending to start crying. "No!" Jimin laughed.
Taehyung and Jimin had been childhood best friends since they had met in kindergarten. They were inseparable and were always seen with each other. They were excited to find out they had both gotten into one of the most prestigious highschool. They both had really good marks and knew when to take their school work seriously. They did have a few friends of their own here and there, but it was going to be different since this was going to be their first year of highschool. It was all going to start in two weeks and Jimin was really excited to show Jeongguk around before school started.
"Well, I have to get going. I have a long day tomorrow and Hoseok just got out of the shower." Taehyung says. "Okay! See you whenever we get the chance." Jimin says.
They hung up and Jimin looked down at his phone. He couldn't wait to meet the foreign exchange student in less the twenty four hours.
