Jimin woke up bright and early the next day. He was too excited to meet Jeongguk. He heard a knock on his door and mumbled a faint, "come in." His younger brother walked in a few seconds after. "Eomma said to get ready. Jeongguk's plane is landing in an hour."

Jimin sat up quickly from his bed. "Okay, go go go." He rushed over to his brother and shoved him out of the room. He walked into his closet and started shuffling around which clothes he should wear. First impressions are always important, Jimin thought. He decided on a graphic tee and black jeans.

He took a quick shower, brushed his teeth and ruffled his hair a bit. He walked over to the table and grabbed his poster, flattening it out on his desk for one more good look. "Oh darn... I should have wrote it in Korean! Stupid me!" He groaned.

Unlike Taehyung, Jimin was fluent in Korean. Taehyung never bothered to learn, saying English was much easier for him. Taehyung could read, write and understand Korean. He just couldn't pronounce the words right. "Jimin, we have to leave in five minutes! Hurry up, please!" His mom called from the stairs. "I'll be there in a minute!" He called back, grabbing a black marker.

He scanned the poster once more before he wrote "Welcome To America" at the bottom of the poster in Korean. "Perfe- NO!" He shouted, his cat jumping on the dresser and knocking down the glass of water Jimin had drank from last night before bed. "Mochi, no!" He yelled. Jimin's brother came into the room and snickered.

"Oh man!" He said, standing beside Jimin as the older boy stared at his poster in horror. The writing became smudged. "I worked so hard on this just for Mochi to ruin it." He spoke, feeling on the urge of tears. "Just bring it anyways. It will dry." His brother says, picking up the poster and shaking the water off.

"No!" Jimin shouted. His mom walked in, halting once she saw Jimin's face. "Jihyun!" She scolded the younger boy, thinking he was the culprit. "I didn't do it!" He says, holding the poster close to him.

"He's right. Mochi jumped on the dresser and knocked my glass of water down. Everybody go because I'm not going." He says, plopping down on his bed. "What? No you're going. I know you worked really hard on this poster, but you have to come to meet him. I heard he is very excited to meet you."

Jimin couldn't help but slouch in bed. "The poster doesn't look that bad. It gives it a more... better look. Looks kinda like a tie dye!" Jihyun says, trying to lighten the mood. Jimin looked up at the poster, trying to see what in the world Jihyun was visioning.

"I guess it does.." Jimin says, standing up from the bed and taking the poster from his brother's hand. All three of them began to walk downstairs and went into the vehicle to pick up Jungkook.

"Taehyung. Hungry."

Taehyung didn't budge from his bed, ignoring the other boy that spoke. "Hello?" Hoseok said, walking up to the other boy. Taehyung wanted so badly for him to go away. Hoseok knew he was awake. He heard him texting rapidly to someone.

Taehyung was trying to comfort Jimin while he was on his way to the airport. He was still mad about the outcome of his poster. Hoseok leaned over and saw him texting Jimin, laughing at what Jimin had sent him next. "He's funny!" Hoseok says. Taehyung sat up quickly, causing the boy to stumble back in surprise.

"Excuse me? Have you ever heard of personal space? Of privacy? Do they not teach you that in Korea? And if you're hungry, then go make your own damn food! It's not that hard!" Taehyung yelled.

Hoseok's eyes widened at the sudden reaction, his eyes glossy. "I'm sorry..." He mumbled, walking out of the room with his head down.

Taehyung 🐥:
could hoseok be any more annoying?
he was just over my shoulder
trying to see what we were talking
about. i can't stand him!

Jimin 🌿:
taehyung be nice! u know how
hard it could be for him rn.

Taehyung 🐥:
ask me if i care.
ask me.

Taehyung rolled his eyes and shut his phone off. Hoseok's reaction to his outburst was the only thing running through his head. His heart began to feel heavy. He didn't understand why he felt like this. Or felt like this even before Hoseok had come along.

There were days were he was happy and wanted to travel the world, then there were days where he wanted to be in his room and under the covers with the lights off. An overwhelming feeling of sadness would cover him like a veil and above him was nothing but a black cloud.

Was it because he was an only child? Was it because he didn't have many friends? He never understood. He never bothered to speak about it either.

He got up from bed and walked down to the kitchen, rehearsing his apology to Hoseok over and over in his head before he approached the older male. Hoseok sat slouched over, eating a bowl of cereal. He had his chin resting on the palm of his hand and he swirled the cereal in circles with his spoon.

"Hoseok..." Taehyung slowly walked toward him. "I'm sorry for the way I have been acting. I didn't mean to yell at you... I just... I'm an only child and the only other company I had was Jimin. I hope you understand."

Hoseok looked up at him for a few seconds. Taehyung's heart beat quickly in his chest. A huge smiled appeared on Hoseok's face and Taehyung felt a sense of relief. "I accept." Hoseok says. "Really? Oh thank God." He says, walking over to Hoseok. "Let me introduce myself again. My name is Taehyung. I am happy to have you here." He says, reaching out his hand. Hoseok shook his hand shortly after.

"Hi, I'm Hoseok. I am happy to be here.." He replied genuinely. Hoseok was happy his was able to have this opportunity. Unlike the other foreign exchange students, he couldn't afford to come here. He couldn't afford anything really. He wanted to come last year, but didn't have enough money for it. With the help of one of his teachers and the little money he made selling baked goods, he was able to afford it this year.

"How about I make you a proper breakfast." Taehyung said, interrupting his thoughts. Hoseok nodded excitedly, ready for whatever was going to happen next.
