"So.. what do you think?"
The sky in the area was clear. The sun shining high up in the sky, it felt warm. The butterflies flying trough the air, Birds soaring high up in the sky.. everything seemed so peaceful. So perfect.
"I hate it."
Kyn looked over to the shorter boy beside Him, he looks kinda weirded out.
"Perhaps you'll like it when we start
walking!""I doubt but.. whatever you want"
The boys started walking into a small cave, it didnt look as sad and dead as the caves in Wastelands. There was light shining in these caves, water flowing trough them, grass growing, smaller animals living inside of them. As they passed one of the walls, drawings started to light up in the walls of the cave. Ancient drawings, of our ancestors, or something like that.
"These are drawings left by our ancestors! They're here to guide us, show us what our life purpose is. And even better, the drawings change when you put your hand on the wall! You'll get a drawing that suits you, a drawing that has a meaning to you, try it."
The tall boy looks at the wall before him, the drawings on it slowly fading away. He raises his hand up to the wall, softy placing it against the wall, waiting for something to happen.
But nothing happend. No drawings appeared, there wasn't even a line.
"Huh that's weird.. normally it works with everyone.."
"Whats yours, then?"
He says, while lowering his hand to rest it beside his body. Kyn watches Mo put his hand on the wall. A drawing appears and it Mo was in it. In the drawing, it's like Mo is giving directions. There were also other figures with him, following his directions.. But they weren't children of light, they seemed to be something else.
"What are those people following you?"
"Those are spirits. Our ancestors. They help us remember how our Kingdom came to be, and in turn we help them ascend into the great beyond."
".. I see."
"Shall we.. continue?"
"Mhm."
The boys continue walking out of the cave, only to reveal a huge, open area. There was nothing more then sand and rocks, but yet it was so much more lively than the wastelands.
"Where do we go?"
"Do you see that big castle on that floating island? Thats where we're heading."
"How do we get up there?"
"We fly, obviously."
"Oh.. of course."
The shorter boy started walking quite fast, with Kyn following him. towards one of the many rocks. He started walking to the top of it, then turned towards Kyn.
"Well, ready?!"
"Eh, actually I.."
