Each year, almost 800,000 children are kidnapped in the United States. That's over 2,000 a day.

It was joyful a day in San Francisco, California. The sky was bright blue and everything was full of light. It was barely ever sunny. Most days, the sky was dark and rainy. But this day, was the brightest day they've had in months.
On the Golden Gate Bridge, panic was everywhere. A crashed Amazon delivery van was lying on the side of the road in flames. A man named Blake Miller was standing outside the scene. Blake was a news reporter for San Francisco News, the top news channel in the city. He was about to go live. His tall frizzy black hair stood still as the breeze hit it. His large amounts of hair spray was working. He was wearing a suit, which wasn't appropriate at all for the weather. His face was covered with sweat. In the distance, he heard the wailing siren of the ambulance.
"We go live in 3, 2,—" the cameraman said.
"Good Evening San Francisco. I'm Blake Miller coming live to you from the famous Golden Gate Bridge. It looks like our sunny day has fallen to pieces. It appears that an Amazon driver has crashed into the side of the bridge and packages are everywhere. Whitnesses say no one else was harmed except the driver. But where is he? Here's paramedic Jason Smith."
"We've searched the van and the bridge and the man is nowhere to be found. The front window was broken and we suspect that the man flew out the windshield and into the river below us. We have men searching for the driver as we speak. But for all we know, he's probably dead. We'll keep you updated." The paramedic said.
"Thank you Jason. Will the missing driver ever be found? Stay tuned to find out." Jason said in a depressed voice.
     "And that's a wrap."
Blake got into the news channel's van and rode off. The cars A.C. blew on his burning face. It felt like heaven. Another news reporter was coming to cover the rest of the scene. He was in a rush to a last minute meeting with his boss. He loved his job, even though it was tough at times. Being a news reporter was always his dream. He loved watching the news as a kid. Some of the cases he had to report he didn't enjoy, such as this one. Most days, he reported happy and heart-warming stories but today was not that day. His favorite thing about his job was he never knew what was going to interview next. It was always surprising.
"Come on! Get out of the van! Aren't you in a hurry?" The driver said.
Blake couldn't stop wondering if the man was alive or not. He remembered the sight of the blood dripping from the van's broken windshield.
"Sorry Sir." He ran as quick as he could into the news channel lobby then straight to his boss's office.
"I know what you've been up to, Blake." his boss said in an angry tone. "Have a seat so we can discuss this."
