CHAPTER TWO

Isang buntong hininga ang aking iginawad habang pinagmamasdan ang mga kaklase kong pabalik balik na hinahabol ang mga nakawalang bibe sa malawak na bakuran ng mga Salvador, they have the biggest poultry farm in our town.

"why don't you join them?"

He scooted closer at umupo sa lamiseta katabi ko, "a typical de Marco, ayaw niyo talagang napapawisan" he remarked.

I threw him a side glare, "uno, i'm the only de Marco of your age which technically means that i am the only de Marco you interact with, so blatant of you to generalize the de Marcos, dos señorito, my pet peeves about sweating and interacting with our classmates must not concern you, por favor"

Narinig ko siyang tumawa as he threw his hands up as surrender, "chill, de Marco" he laughed.

I rolled my eyes.

"Yvo, don't you have pink and blue ducks?" inosenteng tanong ni Livi nang bumalik sila sa balkonahe upang kuhanin ang meryenda.

I saw Yvo's brows furrowed, "huh?"

"you see, in manila, they have that"

"those are intentionally colored chicks, Livi, not ducks" komento ko getting what Olivia's trying to point out.

Yung mga sisiw na kinukulayan at binebenta sa labas ng simbahan.

"anyways, next sunday will be on the de Marcos!" Livi excitedly announced.

Na siyang nagpatili sa mga iba ko pang kaklaseng babae, they knew my Kuya Igo and Fidel will be home by then, kaya sinadya nilang ako ang matoka sa sunday group meeting namin.

Nang dumating ang dapit hapon ay isa-isang nagsiuwian ang mga kaklase namin, Livi and I were just waiting for our drivers to pick us up from the Salvadors.

"Feli, how is Pablo?" tanong ni Yvo trying to open a conversation.

"he is fine, yvo" mahina kong saad.

"well, can you bring him this sunday? I'll bring a horse, akyat tayo ng casa ninyo" he invited.

I stared at him for a second, "im not so sure, yvo, uuwi sina kuya by the weekend baka pagalitan ako"

"don't worry, kilala naman ako ng mga kuya mo" arogante pa nitong saad.

"even so" i retorded.

Sinukbit ko ang bitbit kong backpack na may lamang reading materials at laptop, "i should go, thank you for the accomodation, Yvo, muchas gracias" paalam ko.

"de nada, felicia" you're welcome, felicia.

Tuluyan kong kiladkad si Olivia na wala pa atang balak lumabas ng mansyon, "halata namang, Yvo is trying to make a move on you, Feli"

"hindi din ba halatang ayoko sa kanya?"

pinagmasdan ko ang kaibigan, her braid were a bit messy from playing too much earlier, nakangisi din ito sa akin.

"por qué no? (why not), dios mio, we are seventeen, almost dieciocho! I have never seen you with guys, except your hermanos, Yvo Salvador is a fine man, rich, gwapo, and a polo mvp"
