Megan talked, revealing Ryker's recent location, with a last warning threat from Leo, the men left the interrogation room, without giving Megan a backward glance, shutting the door behind them, leaving her guarded, until they could formulate a plan and catch Ryker.

"I can't believe that he is back in the same place." Gabe was the first to comment, once they entered the Alpha office.

"Believe it...he is a cocky over confident bastard." Leo growled, "And we played right into his hands, we naturally assumed he would not go back to that place and he was correct."

"Lesson learned...then let's not waste time and get him." Gabe stated.

"Only I will be going..." Leo spoke firmly.

"You need us." Mason argued.

"And your mates need you!" Leo spat back, glaring at his Beta and brother.

Both men knew that what Leo said was true, yet they felt an obligation to follow their Alpha.

Sighing, "I will take a few warriors and request that a few from Eli's and Austin's pack, also accompany us." Leo informed them, "That way, I'm protected and well prepared for any eventuality."

Leo needed to go personally, if he left it in the hands of Eli, then he would not get the answers he needed, therefore he decided to go and confront perhaps the one person who would know where his mate is.

He remained steadfast in his decision, despite Mason and Gabe arguing their points, lifting his hand to silence them, "I would not be a good Alpha, if I allowed both of you to travel with me, especially when both your mates need you here, we still don't know the extent of the traitors within the pack."

Both Mason and Gabe conceded grudgingly, despite their protests in remaining behind, both knew that staying to protect their mates was and always would be their first priority.

As Leo made the necessary travel arrangements, his only thought was the well-being of his mate and hoping he would not be too late.

He would stay at Austin's pack, it was closer to where Ryker remained hidden.

His parents would stay to oversee any pack issues, though at times, he felt slightly guilty, his parents should actually be in retirement. However, he knew that he could always rely on them and they never questioned his motives, trusting that he knew what was best, only giving helpful advice and guidance when necessary.

In the early hours of the following day, he said his goodbyes to his family, friends and pack members, not making any promises that he would be back soon, determined that he would only come back once he had found his mate.

Or die trying...he silently thought to himself.
