"Ruby, Ruby~" Yang poked the younger girl lightly as the brunette groaned before sitting up, sleep still holding its grasp on her.

"Wha?" She mumbled as Weiss and Blake stood near the door.

"We're gonna be late Ruby, c'mon get up and get the stink off ya!" Yang grinned as Ruby stretched and entered the bathroom with her school uniform.

"She's surprisingly chipper today." Weiss pointed out as Blake nods.

"I take it your month off of school proved somewhat effective?" Weiss turns to the blonde as Yang nods.

"After so much loss, she deserves that happiness." The blonde smiles as Ruby exits, positively practically radiating from the young heiress.

"Well, we better hurry to class!" Ruby grinned as the girls left the room, heading for 1st period history.

As they made their way to class, Cardin and his goons noticed the surprisingly chipper Ruby Stark.

"Oi, Stark!" He called out as Ruby stopped and turned to him.

"Ain't you supposed to be moody today?" He asks as Yang marched forward before Ruby held her back.

"If you mean sad, then no. Unlike you, I care about my family." She snapped before walking past as Weiss smirked.

"Oh, hey Ruby!" Jaune greeted as the rest of his roommates, Ren, Nora, and Pyrrha arrived.

"It's wonderful that you're looking better Ruby." Pyrrha smiles as Yang nods.

"Yeah, I'm just glad Dad's alright." Ruby nods.

"Well, we better hurry or we're late." Blake pointed out as the two group split apart.

Ruby walked with Yang, Jaune, and Pyrrha as Blake and Weiss turned off with Ren and Nora.

~History Class~

Ruby sat down next to Yang as the familiar speedy Professor Oobleck greeted his students.

"Ah, Miss Ruby, Miss Xiao Long, wonderful of you to join us. I do hope your father is healing well?" Oobleck asks as Yang nods.

"Yeah, both of them are severe mechanic nerds by the way." Yang grins as Ruby puffs her cheeks out.

"Yes, intelligence is a gift and it should be used to better mankind. A fellow Professor once told me that." Oobleck nods as Cardin rolls his eyes.

"Well, glad you've returned and let us return to our last discussion of Grimm. Now then, can someone explain to newcomers what the Grimm are?"

"Professor, the Grimm were once thought to be the Apex of animals today. Fast, strong, and dangerous. It is theorized that early humans and mutants were nearly hunted to extinction before the discovery of Dust and stone tools were discovered." Pyrrha chimed in.

"Thank you Miss Nikos, now then, can someone else explain what Dust is?"

"Dust is a composite mineral that allows humans and mutants to harness the very elements if done correctly or else it would explode in the user's face. Currently, the Schnee Dust Company is in the works of creating a faster, more safer, energy efficient way against the carbon emissions of fossil fuels." Jaune stood as Oobleck nods.

"Thank you Mr. Arc, see how paying attention in class gets you?" Oobleck grins as Jaune grins nervously.

"I think Dad may have seen a Grimm during his escape." Ruby whispers to Yang who raises an eyebrow.
