Tony took a deep breath and sighed as he removed the covers from his bed, his eyes opening to the ceiling as Jarvis greeted him.

"Good morning sir, it's is 8:25 AM, clear skies and your appointment for the Apogee ceremony is at 10PM. Would you like for me to relay your day to Ruby and Yang?" The robotic AI asked.

Tony turned and stood as he stretched, a satisfied yawn escaping his mouth before sighing.

"I'll tell the girls, Happy can keep them entertained for the day. Work calls." Tony groaned as he headed for the shower.

Exiting in a towel, he threw on a pair of jeans, a black shirt, and a jacket with a pair of black converse shoes.

Entering the kitchen, he watched as Ruby eating diligently from a bowl of cookie cereal and milk as Yang leaned lazily to the side, her own bowl of milk in front of her.

"Good morning girls." Tony spoke as he walked towards the fridge.

"Morning Tony!" Ruby grinned, her cheeks full of cereal.

"Hey." Yang sighed, twirling her spoon through the now soupy breakfast.

"What's on your mind LionMane?" Tony asked as Yang frowned.

"I don't know, I know I'm the outgoing person but living here, being your kid feels unnatural. I feel, hollow without my dad I guess." Yang replied sullenly.

Frowning, Tony closed the fridge and turned to the blonde.

"I'm, I never had someone to confide my thoughts with, but I'm willing to be the dad I never could be. So, allow me to help what's been troubling you." Tony turned to Ruby and nudged her a bit.

"Why don't you go work on Zwei for a bit Rubes." Ruby nodded before grabbing her cereal and left.

"I guess I'm not used to the high life, I've always been the outgoing because I was hiding my own problems. Our mother, Ruby's mom, had died as well as my dad. My mother, Raven Branwen, had left us long ago." Yang said as Ruby left.

"After they died  it was just us and Uncle Qrow. Whenever Ruby was put to bed and Uncle Qrow left for his usual meetings, I would take a few bucks and take off to the closest bar and just party y'know." Yang glanced up at Tony as the playboy nodded.

"I know what you mean Yang. You can always read an article on some two bit hack website of my most recent screw up. If I'm being honest, you girls have been a wake up call for me. I wouldn't want to incur your wrath if Rubes grew up like I did." Tony joked lightly.

"Yeah, that would happen. But with how you've been acting, I think she'll be alright." Yang smiled.

Twirling her spoon, Yang exhaled before hearing Tony's stool scrape and feet walking over to her. She turned before being engulfed into a hug.

Wide eyed, she looked up to see the goatee man smile down at her. Tears welling in her eyes, Yang stood and placed her head on Tony's chest as her tears soaked into his jacket.

"Baby steps Yang, that's all it is." Tony comforted the young blonde as Ruby smiled from the living room.

"Tell ya what, I'll call off the Apogee Award and we'll stay home." Tony said before Ruby charged in and fell on her backside, slamming into the cupboards.

"You good there Speedy?" Tony suppressed a chuckle as Yang rubbed her eyes.

"You mean it?" Ruby sparkled as Tony nodded.
