Chapter 5: Imprint

As I was feeling much too anxious to eat breakfast before my big day at school I quickly grabbed a banana on my way out of the house. I slowly began the walk to school, staring blankly at my shoes until suddenly I spotted a small caterpillar on the side walk. I bent down to pick up the small bug and then returned it to the safety of the grass next to the path. As I did this I examined all the intricate details and patterns that formed its skin. I then wished that I could have such bright colours on my skin, that I could be unique or different. I had spent my entire life following in the footsteps of my older sister, no one noticed me. My sister had it all, pretty, funny, popular; she was noticed by everyone. However I was just the nervous shy one, the younger sister with no talents or passions.
And though I didn't realise it, this was all about to change: for better or worse
