"Omg"
"She did what on the weekend"
"I can't believe we were ever friends with her"
"Does her boyfriend know"As I walked into school I heard the usual chatter and gossip amongst students about the happenings of the weekend. I walked towards my locker and as I was about to open it a girl in the year below ran past me knocking my books to the floor. I groaned quietly as I bent to pick them up. I am literally invisible to some people. A masculine hand was placed next to mine on the book and I slowly let go. I looked up into the deep sea-blue eyes of a boy I had never seen before, he quickly fumbled with my books and managed to make a sloppy pile. He picked them up and grinned casually to me. As he handed them over I felt butterflies explode in my stomach. I managed a small thanks and a smile back. He grinned a crooked smile and waved casually as he walked down the corridor. Wow! Where did he come from? No one had ever been that nice to me in my 4 years of high school. I was happy for the rest of the day, however in the final lead up to lunch the butterflies in my stomach returned. Who could it be, who is the mysterious man that kept ringing me last night. Who was the boy that picked up my books for me and stared intensely at me with those beautiful blue eyes.
The bell for lunch rand loudly and I gulped, I suddenly didn't feel well.
It was then that I remembered the caterpillar on the side walk, it's vibrant bright colours that stood out. I realised that I need to change my quite self, change the girl that follows and never leads.
I walked confidently towards the boys bathroom, I then remembered I had told him that we would meet in the girls. I turned to walk to the girls bathroom and as I did I bumped into someone, I looked straight up into the beautiful blue eyes of a guy just taller than me. I smiled and said hi, he winked back and smiled in the same crooked way. The butterflies returned and I slowly walked off in the direction of the girls room.As I went to open the door I got a strange feeling. Why am I taking orders from someone I had never met, I had only heard his voice. I started to feel uneasy, maybe I shouldn't do this.
