*Dr. Drake p.o.v*
I watched Deceit carefully as he stuck his forked tougue every now and then. I then recorded the action of the forked tougue and noticed that Deceit has not said a word in the past 30 minutes. So I decided to ask him a few questions. "Hey there bud" I spoke softly so I wouldn't startal him, but he didn't say anything. "err... Your conditions are looking good, your hair, your scales, your eye, all good I explained to him but he still didn't say anything, I guess he isn't as chatty as Remus. If you don't know who Remus is, well he is subject O.C.T.9, Dr. Octwood's kid. After I ran the rest of the tests on Deceit, I was finally finished. I got up from my chair and before I could go to the results chart, Deceit made grabby hands gesturing me to pick him up, and so I did. Once he was on my hip we both looked at the results together, until Dr. Octwood and Remus came through the door. "How is Deceit holding up" asked Octwood, I put Deceit on the ground, who immediately ran over to play with Remus."Hes pretty well" I respond with a smile. Octwood looked over at the children, then spoke "and the tongue" "fully functioning like a snake tongue would" I immediately say, proud with what I have done. Dr. Octwood smiles at me and checks his watch "OK kids, it's time for bed" he calls to Remus and Deceit. Deceit, again making grbby hands as I picked him up and walked him to him to his sand yellow room, tucking him in to his bed, picking up a story book reading it to him.
*skip time to after story*
Deceit was sound asleep, snuggled up to his toy snake, I gave him a kiss on his head and leave him alone to sleep. I start looking for Octwood to find him in Remus's test chambers starring at a tank of octopuses. "you okay Octwood" I speek quietly since the chamber was very echoy, after a minute or two, Octwood let out a lage sigh and said "I'm fine, I'm just happy that we were able to make this happen and by 'this' I mean the kids" he turned to look at me with a sad smile. "OK well then, good night" I spoke as if he was new to the lab, he mumbled the same back to me and I left to go to my apartment in the east side of the lab and thought about how thing would be tomorrow.
