Hey guys! I just wanted to say that this au is not my original idea, it was actually inspired by a tumblr post. I hope you have as much fun reading it as I did writing it.

Daichi's Point of View

"Daichi! I have a package for you to take." My father, Takeda, said from across the house. Our house was neat, with plants in jars lining the plain walls. I usually help label those jars, but lately my father had been sending me on more and more trips.  Most of them are to town, to get more water and whatnot, but sometimes, I get to make deliveries!

"Who's it for?" I asked, approaching the garden he was caring for. He brushed off his messy overalls, placed some herbs into a brown package, and handed it to me.

"It's for Wizard Ukai. Don't worry, I know it's kind of a long trip, but I packed you a bag." He handed me a small black satchel. "That used to be my bag. When I was your age, my father would send me on trips too.." He started to tear up. I looked in the bag. There was some bread, a map, and some water in a metal bottle.

"Thank you. When should I leave?"

"Now. Please be careful, you'll have to go through the woods." He said, practically pushing me out of the door. Once I was outside, he shut the door behind me. I pulled out the map and began walking.

Almost there. I thought to myself. I heard angry, high pitched talking.

"Hello?" I began to look around. In the corner of my eye, I saw two fairies arguing. One had black hair and blue eyes. He had little gray wings, and was holding a large purple flower. The other fairy was smaller with fluffy orange hair and brown eyes. He had bright yellow wings, and was chasing the other one down.

"KAGS! GIVE IT BACK!" He yelled flying so fast I could barley see him.

"Finders-keepers shrimp!"

"Hey! Relax! What's wrong!" I said, trying to keep up with their fast movements.

"Kageyama took my flower!" The orange-haired fairy complained.

"That isn't very nice! Give it back." I said to who I assumed was Kageyama, who was pouting. "Now." He sighed and handed the flower back.

"Thank you!" The fairy grabbed his flower in one hand and took Kageyama's hand in the other. He sped off.

I smiled to myself and continued walking. Eventually, I reached a cottage. It was small, with plants popping out of windows and an overgrown passage way. I avoided all the thorns that I could, and I walked up to the round door. I knocked three times, and suddenly the door was opened. A tall, blond man with a crooked wizards hat looked down at me.

"Who are you?"

"I am Daichi, Takeda's son. I brought your herbs." I said, looking down at my shoes, like they were the most interesting thing in the world.

"My apprentice is in the back, do me a favor and give it to him." He let me inside and walked towards a cauldron that was overflowing with mysterious purple fluid. I walked to the back room. I was very messy, with notes about spells and potions covering the walls. I saw a sliver head of hair behind a desk.

"Sir?" I asked walking toward the old man.

"Hello!" The man turned around, only he wasn't an old man. He was an angelic looking boy, most likely my age. He had a quill tucked behind his ear and was wearing a blue vest with tan sleeves under it. He was pale and a little shorter than me, he seemed just as surprised as I was. "Who are you?"

"T-Takeda's son! Dadchi- nO. I'm sorry. I'm Daichi" I stammered out, holding out the package. He gently took it from me.

"I'm Sugawara. " He quickly opened the brown paper and put away everything.

Why didn't my father tell me that Ukai has a gorgeous apprentice? I thought to myself.

"I didn't know Takeda had a son." Sugawara said, while scribbling something down on a sheet of paper.

"I didn't know the Wizard had an apprentice. I'm kinda happy he does though, he's a little intimidating." I responded without thinking. "I better get going" I turned to leave, but was stopped by Sugawara grabbing my wrist.

"Uh- I um... I hope to see you again Daichi." He said turning a bit pink. He quickly let go and mumbled to himself as he wrote something else down.  I left the cottage with a quick goodbye to the Wizard.

I walked home, replaying what had just happened over and over in my head.  I began to create ridiculous situations that involved me and the silver-haired apprentice. Each more ridiculous than the last. By the time I got home, I had practically fallen in love with a boy that I knew nothing about. I opened the door and was greeted by my father.

"Someone's happy! What happened?" He asked excitedly, he always did this after a trip.

"I met someone." I said, putting down my satchel. My father squealed like a school girl.

"Tell me everything!" He said flopping down on our couch. Most people don't tell their parents about possible love interests. But, I have no one else to tell. It has been him and I for as long as I can remember. I sat down next to him and told him everything. From the fairies to the quill that elegantly rested behind Sugawara's ear.

"Well isn't that something! My baby is in love!" My father began to tear up again. I rolled my eyes and walked over to my room. I flopped on my bed with a heavy sigh.

I have to see him again.
