"No, stop it", she tried to get up but he pushed her down onto the mattress.
Aria felt the mattress give way under his face as he bent over it.
"You are my bride, my wife for eternity," he whispered into her ear.
"No matter what you do now, think of the consequences."
He remained silent and stared at her, his Eyes were so dark.
"Do you want me to hate you," Aria asked softly.
"I want you, Aria," he whispered and she got goose bumps and involuntarily pressed her dress tightly against her breast. His hand gently stroked up her arm and remained at her throat.
His gaze veiled with lust and desire. Aria closed her eyes, she did not want to see this monster. Minutes passed and nothing happened, slowly she opened her eyes.
Her room was empty. He had left. She hadn't noticed that she had held her breath and breathed out and in slowly.
next Day
Her family had left, she was alone with Zeref, luckily she rarely saw him. She wandered around alone most of the time, the servants avoided Aria.
The sun was high in the sky and she wore her favorite dress. A light blue, short summer dress perfect for the warm spring weather. Aria stripped off her shoes and felt the soft grass under her feet, enjoyed the warm sunrays on her skin and smiled happily.
She strolled through the tree-lined avenue past the fountain to the rose garden. She had taken a book and lay down on the lawn, rolled over on her stomach and sank into the book.As her mother had foretold her, Zeref just needed her to look pretty and be docile to him, but it didn't mean she should go stale in the head.
ZEREF POV
"No, I want the meeting to happen tonight, tomorrow afternoon I'm meeting with the mayor."
Zeref handed Nicolas the files and ordered his secretary to withdraw. When he heard a bright laugh, he listened. It sounded so strange in this place .He got up and went to the window and saw Aria.
She was lying in the garden laughing, reading a book.
"She's really beautiful, Zeref." Nicholas stood next to him and they both looked at the young girl. Zeref nodded at his brother and turned away from his wife.
"When does the Gala begin?".
"In three hours everyone will arrive". Zeref clenched his hand in a fist.
"I want all the information about the case in New York," he told his brother.
"I don't want to have to show up there and do the dirty work," growled Zeref.
Zeref was tired, but he pretended to be interested in the talks and worries of mortals. He had more important things to take care of. A bright, clear laugh echoed across the room and his head went that way.
Aria stood next to a tall man, the mayor's son, and had a lively conversation with him. A stabbing feeling flared up in his chest. A burning jealousy ran through him. He saw her empty wine glass and when the man asked her to dance, he threatened to tear his head off in jealousy.
Nicholas put his hand on his shoulder, reassuring him."Calm down, brother. There are too many people here".Zeref growled softly and tried to calm down, turning away from Aria and asking a young girl to dance with him.
The last guests left and Zeref watched them in silence. He heard Aria buzzing through the corridors and turned in her direction, followed her.
Aria pulled the braces out of her hair while humming and thought about the evening. It was really nice, she had a good conversation with the mayor's son. He was very polite and friendly, quite unlike Zeref whose dark eyes had been following her around the room the whole time.
She took off her shoes and sighed in relief. Aria washed her face in the bathroom, brushed her teeth and slipped into her pyjamas. She loved the feeling of silk on her skin. Aria opened the bedroom window to let in the fresh night air, turned around and gasped in shock.
Aria stumbled back, but Zeref grabbed her in a flash and pulled her towards him.
"Was someone dreaming?" he growled softly and Aria got creepy goose bumps again.
She knew that vampires couldn't get drunk. "Let me go," Aria pleaded, trying to turn from his grasp.
But Zeref only strengthened his grip, his gaze was as dark and black as the night.
"Let me go. Now." but she couldn't hide the trembling in her voice.
"I don't like other men touching my property," he growled in her ear.
"I am not your property, I am your wife."
"You are not my wife, you are my blood bag," he pressed her against the cold stone wall.
Zeref was taller than her and towered above her by far, his broad shoulders blocking her view of the door.
"I'm not your stupid blood bag," she whispered and tears shot into her eyes, she knew what was about to happen, he would bite her. He would claim the blood right.
"You are what I tell you, you do nothing without my permission, you are not even allowed to breathe without my permission," he hissed and she saw the white, shining fangs.
Her eyes widened and she defended herself against him, she drummed against his steely chest and tried to free herself. Zeref squeezed her hands together, took her chin in her hand, his grip hurt and she could no longer hold back the tears.
"Please don't, please stop", Aria sobbed and felt him run his fangs along her neck.
Pain ran through her body and she cried out."So sweet," He purred.
He pushed deeper with his teeth, the pain was so strong, it felt like her veins were burning, her whole body was on fire.
"It hurts, it hurts so much," Aria sobbed and lost her footing. She clung to his shoulder.
"Stop struggling, it will only hurt more". Zeref pulled out his teeth and stared down at her pale skin. The blood ran down her throat, he had taken too much. But he had been greedy and starving.
Zeref lifted Aria up and threw her onto the bed. Aria wanted to run away, but the poison he had released seemed dazed."You're the last," she whimpered and everything turned around in the room.
Zeref growled and pressed her wrist to his lips. He bit hard and mercilessly. Her scream was like music in his ears, it smelled wonderful. He kissed her and ran his tongue over her skin. Aria was numb with pain, lying there motionless. Her whole body numb and defenseless.
Zeref could take away her pain, it didn't have to hurt, but he was a monster.
Zeref pulled away from her and wiped the blood off himself.
"Nicholas," he shouted and stormed out of the room. Nicholas came immediately.
"What happened?".
"Take care of her, I'm too tired."
