Aria was dazed and retreated fearfully before Nicholas.

"Please don't hurt me," she whispered. Nicholas raised his hands and came to her carefully.

"I will never hurt you,i promise you".

"Why is he doing this?" Aria sobbed and clasped her hands together in front of her face.

All the sheets were covered in blood. "You should take a bath, I'll send someone to clean everything up."Aria just nodded and didn't move.

"Come here, let me help you". Nicholas held out his hand to her and waited. She looked at him for a long time and wondered if she could really trust him.Minutes passed before she pulled herself together and took his hand.

He drew her a bath and helped her. "If you need anything, just shout." Aria nodded and sank dazed into the warm water. It turned red immediately.

Nicholas POV

Zeref should have just given her his blood, a bite could be cruel or very sensual, full of excitement. The bed was changed and the bloody nightmare destroyed. Nicholas knocked on Zeref's door and stormed in, waiting for no answer.

"You could have killed her," growled Nicholai at his brother.

Zeref turned quietly and raised an eyebrow. "I only made it clear to her why she is here,"

"Did you see what you have done? Do you want to destroy her?" yelled Nicholas.

Zeref hissed and jumped at him."You care too much for your queen."

Nicholas exhaled in a controlled manner and tried to control himself, humbly kneeling.

"Forgive me, my king, I took the wrong tone."

Aria POV

Aria wandered the grounds like a ghost. She didn't go outside, she barely touched her food.

Her bite marks healed slowly. The blue turned ugly green and purple on her pale skin. Weeks had passed, but the marks were too deep. When there was an event, she would not talk to anyone, she would keep a low profile and smile like a doll.

Aria poked around in her food and pushed the plate away from her, folded the napkin and stood up.

"Where are you going?" a deep voice thundered through the dining room. Slowly she turned around and stared at Zeref angrily.

"I'm not hungry anymore".

"You should eat something, go sit down".

"No", she shook her head and turned around.

"Aria," the way he said her name was threatening. She sighed and sat back down .Zeref sat across from her and sipped his wine. As a high vampire, he was able to eat human food, for others it ended in agony.

Aria took another bite and swallowed it demonstratively.

"Stop behaving like a defiant little child," Zeref growled and put his wine back.

 It looked like blood.

"I'd rather behave like a small child than a disgusting monster," she spat it out and slammed the cutlery back on the table. She was done.

She pushed the silver knife into her skirt waistband without him noticing

"I'm not hungry anymore".

Aria walked to  the door, but she didn't get far. Zeref blocked the exit, she crashed into him, but before she fell to the floor, Zeref had caught her.

He was so close, and she hated it.

"You think I'm a monster, maybe I should give you a real reason to call me a monster".

His voice was soft, but the threat was unmistakable. His fangs shot out, his eyes turned dark with greed.

"No, no, let me go," cried Aria, lifting the knife from her skirt waistband."You monster", her voice had broken into a loud screech, she would not make it easy for him this time.

She would fight. Her hands surrounded the knife, she lifted it up and rammed it into his chest. Zeref hissed and staggered back in surprise.

Aria used this moment, ripped open the heavy wooden door and ran away. She ran through the garden and fled through the tree alley, the sun slowly set and dusk set in. She had lost her shoes and ran away barefoot, she stumbled when a dark figure appeared in front of her.

She staggered and fell to the ground. He crouched in front of her and tapped her chin.

"Look at me," he commanded. Aria looked at him and knew that this was her end.

"I like this fighter in you, it's cute that you think you can outsmart me, but remember you are a blood bride. I will find you everywhere, because your blood is pulsing inside of me".

"I hate you," she whispered.

"Who cares about your feelings".

"I care about the feelings of others, I care for my Family, other People and their feelings".

"This only makes you weak". Aria picked herself up and wanted to run away, but Zeref held her down. Without another word he sank his teeth into her skin and drank her blood.

She clenched her hand to her fist and drummed it against his chest. It stung, it hurt but he didn't stop, he sank his fangs even deeper into her skin.

"You taste so sweet, so tempting," he murmured as he pulled his fangs out.

His eyes were dark, a little blue shimmered through. He pulled her against him, she banged against his hard chest. Zeref took her face in his hands and kissed her.

She tasted the metallic taste of blood on her lips, hatred raging in her heart. Aria didn't know that she could feel that much hate for a person.

She bit him. He stumbled back in surprise.

"My little wildcat," he purred and approached her.

"No, that's enough Zeref."

"If you drink any more blood, I might not wake up", her voice was soft. She hoped for his good heart, for his mind.

But he just growled and jumped towards her, pulled her into an embrace and sank his fangs again, her body went limp and her fighting spirit went out.
