I got this idea and wanted to write something to see how it would go, I wrote over the course of 2-3 days at school, and the weird thing is, my strict-ass geography teacher saw me writing and said nothing, so he either likes me, doesn't give a shit, or is too busy with the insane little buggers in my class xD

Harry and Draco were walking around a muggle animal shelter, they were looking to adopt a pet. Draco had won the debate over whether to get a dog or a cat, so they were walking around the cages of felines, a loud chorus of mews we're heard. “Dray...” Harry said, pointing into the cage of an adorable calico kitten with rumpled but fluffy fur. As they approached it, the kitten shrank back, clearly terrified. Poor kitty-cat ;-; “Awwh, look at it - it's so cute!” cooed Draco. “That’s Annie, she was abused by her last owners, she's scared of pretty much everyone, bless her.” explained a nearby worker. “She’s so sweet, ” murmured Harry, gently putting his fingers through the bars of the cage. Annie seemed to feel safe with him as she rubbed her head against his hand. “Want to hold her?” asked the employee. Draco nodded. The worker lifted the cat from the cage and transferred her into Harry’s arms when the kitten snuggled up to Harry and purred as Draco stroked her. “We’ll take her.”

Annie nervously edged out of her carrier. Draco began unpacking the cat bed, scratching post, cat tower, food and treats while Harry sat cross-legged on the carpet, watching Annie explore her new home.
