Self-harm warning!!
Draco sat on top of the granite surface of the bathroom counter. Harry had left to go shopping ten minutes ago. He picked up the knife he had taken with him. He pulled up the sleeve of his dark grey shirt and looked at the scars on his wrist. He sighed and dragged the silver blade across his wrist thrice, watching the blood pool in the sink. He turned the water on, rinsing away the crimson liquid. He heard the key turn in the lock and scrambled to staunch the blood. He pulled his sleeve down. “Draco, I'm back!” called Harry's voice. Draco slid off the countertop and sauntered into the hall. “Hi, ” he tried to grin. Harry moved closer to him and pressed their lips together. He took Draco’s hand in his own and pulled away. “Can you help me put these away?” Draco feigned a smile and nodded. Harry looked down at the bags in his hands and noticed something on his finger. Blood. “Draco...” he held up the finger, showing the blood with his eyebrows raised. Draco tugged his sleeve down further. This movement confirmed Harry's greatest worry. He took a hold of Draco’s arm and pulled the sleeve up. He saw the fresh cuts and all the old ones. “No... Baby, why?” the pain in Harry's voice was evident. He put the bags down and pulled Draco over to the kitchen and sat on a chair, pulling Draco onto his lap. “I...I want to.... Die.” Harry was astonished, he wrapped his arms around the blond’s waist. “But... Why baby?” “Nobody would give a fuck if I went, I'm worthless, nobody needs me so what even is the point?” tears welled up in Draco’s eyes. “No, gorgeous, no.” said Harry, stroking Draco’s rumpled hair. “If you died, I wouldn't be able to eat. Or sleep. Or function at all. I can't imagine a world without you, it would be insanity. It would be absolute fucking hell, I'd be lost with no hope of being found.” Draco turned away. “Why? What have I done to make you love me?” Harry pulled Draco closer and whispered into his ear, “Everything.” Draco turned his tear-streaked face back and looked into Harry’s eyes. “Never leave me.” Harry mumbled. Another tear fell from Draco’s eye and dripped off his nose. Harry wiped the wet patch on Draco’s face away with his thumb. He moved his face forwards and brushed his lips against Draco’s. “Let’s get those cuts sorted, yeah?” Harry tucked a piece of blond hair behind Draco’s ear and reached for the cupboard to find the Essence of Dittany.
