Chapter 4~ The Past

Y/n's POV

I noticed Jabez was going in for a kiss and I stopped him.

Y/n: Jabez what are doing?

Jabez: I just couldn't handle it anymore.

Y/n: Handle what?

Jabez: Your just so perfect and beautiful. Y/n I don't think I can ever be just friends with you.

Y/n: Jabez what are you saying?

Jabez: Y/n I like you and I want to be more than friends.

Y/n: Jabez you know I'm not looking for a boyfriend right now.

Jabez: Will you at least tell me why?

Y/n: I really don't want to talk about it.

I started tearing up. Jabez pulled me close to him and hugged me. I felt so safe in his strong embrace.

Jabez: Y/n please don't cry. We don't have to talk about it until you're ready to tell me. Ok?

Y/n: Ok.

He wiped my tear, that was starting to fall, away. Afterwards we just continued to watch the movie. I fell asleep on his shoulder and he fell asleep afterwards.

The next morning
I woke up and realized Jabez wasn't here. I thought he left but he had just come out of the bathroom.

Jabez: Morning you want breakfast.

Y/n: Yea sure, but you didn't have to cook for me.

Jabez: I wanted to.

Jazmine shortly came out of her room.

Jaz: Morning y'all.

Jabez & Y/n: Morning.

Jabez: You want breakfast Jazmine.

Jazmine: Yea sure thanks.

Jabez: Your welcome.

Y/n: Jabez can I at least help.

Jabez: No just sit back and relax.

Y/n: Fine.

I just rolled my eyes. Jazmine whispered, only so I can hear.

Jaz: Sooooo...

Y/n: Sooo...

Jaz: Did you get some D?!

Y/n: JAZMINE!!!

Jaz: What??

I rolled my eyes at her comment and she laughed.

Jaz: No but for real did you?!

Y/n: No.

Jabez: FOOD'S READY!

Jabez had just called us, thank god, getting me out of the conversation.

Jaz & y/n: Ok here we come!

We went to the table and ate our food and talked.

Jabez: I better get going. I'm heading out with the guys today.

Y/n: ok let me walk you out.
