As Julie's driving, Eva's sat in the front while I'm in the back checking my Instagram feed.

"So, should we stop and get some Starbucks before heading to work?" Julie announced as Eva plugged in the aux to her phone.

"Ooo, yes!" Eva said as I stayed quiet in the back.

"Angel?" both of them said as a text from an unknown number showed up on my screen.

"Uhm, yeah sure. I'd love that" I said with enough enthusiasm to sound convincing.

That was such a fat lie. I honestly hate Starbucks in my opinion, but I suppose I just have to adjust.

My gaze shifts to the words "Unknown Number" written in my notification center.

Unknown Number: Don't go to Starbucks.

Those words for some bizarre reason made my gut uneasy. I quickly swiped left and deleted it. The ride there Julie, Eva, and I were singing our heart outs as we blasted music. As soon as we pulled up to Starbucks, my heart sunk into my stomach.

"Let's go," Julie said as she clutched the straps of her purse and placed it over her shoulder.
Eva and I got out of the car while retrieving our items. I looked upward and analyzed the building in front of us.

It was still new to the city, but it was still in the marketing process. I tried convincing them to reach out to me so I could benefit them with designing, but they never took upon the offer. It looked decent though, had a more so modern clean look to it. Not too striking and professional but just the right amount of coziness.

We all walked inside and headed to the front to order our drinks. Julie ordered our drinks but instead of coffee she got me a smoothie.

"Hey Julie?" I say while she walks over to our table.

"Yes?" She lets out sighing as my eyes are fixed on the bright-colored green smoothie.

"What's with the smoothie?"

"It's good for you, what's the problem?"  Julie snaps while forcefully handing me the drink while she smiles and drinks her coffee.

"There's no issue," I say while sipping from the green beverage. I peer over Julie's shoulder and notice that Eva is behind her speaking to some guy a couple feet away.

"Where's Eva?" Julie says while looking around. I point behind her while Eva heads our way with the guy that she was speaking to a few minutes ago.

"Girls, " Eva says as the man waves at us. Automatically, the feeling that I receive when he waves at me and looks at me is not a decent feeling.

"Hello ladies, I'm Benjamin but no one actually calls me that anymore, so you can call me Ben." Ben says as he chuckles. Eva sits next to me as Ben sits in front of her. As they all have their own conversation, I sip my drink and examine him.

His facial features are prominent and strong. The shirt he wears shows off his build, obviously, attracting girls like Eva to go over and speak to him. Although, Eva is never the type to walk up to a boy and start a conversation. His gaze is piercing and could hypnotize any girl to fall at his feet. I can admit if I hadn't of met Grayson and met Ben instead, I would've fallen into the wrong hands.

A few moments later, Ben left with Eva's number and we all decided to head for work. As we got in the car, Eva and Julie were talking about Ben. I didn't say anything except,

"Did you guys not get a sketchy vibe from him?"

"Oh cmon Angel, you've been hanging out with Grayson too much that you're starting to second guess everything. Your past relationship with Jacob happened over 4 years ago, stop overthinking so much." Julie asserts while we stop at a red light. I roll my eyes at her comment about Jacob.

"Yeah, I think he's cute. I actually want to get to know him." Eva says while smiling shyly at her phone.

"Okay" I breathe in.

Maybe he's not bad and I'm just overthinking.
