The mind of a soldier who fought for his country
A fearless individual that stared death in the eye
a man who never turned away from his country
he gave his life just for his country
when the call came through he was always ready
Before his left to fight a fight that would be his last
He stared at son deep in his eyes
Telling him if he dont come back just be strong
cause I will be with you no matter what
I will stare down from heaven and smile on you
then he turns to his wife and fought back tears
He told his wife keep to an open heart and open mind
just have faith and think of me I'm always here by your side
He kisses his wife and son goodbye
Not knowing the dangers he was going to face
he looks back and waves for the very last time and boards his plane
He called back home to check on things every week
Then months goes by not a single call from her husband
she feared the worst has happen to him
suddenly a knock on the door and as she expected the worst to happen
Two U.S. Soldiers stood at the front door saluting his wife
she falls to her knees and screamed in horror and pain
Her husband fought a good fight and lost lost his life
He will always be remember for his selfless acts of courage
TO ALL OUR SOLDIERS WHO LOST THEIR LIVES
WE SALUTE YOU FOR YOUR SELFLESS ACTS OF COURAGE AND DEDICATION
WE TRULY THANK YOU ALL, AND THE FAMILIES OF OUR FALLEN HERO'S
