Chapter 10: Farewell

Silent! Nervous!
Chaeyoung, Doyoung, Wendy gathered together with Jisoo as her supporters, along with her aunt and cousins. Everyone was in silent and waited patiently in front of the operation room, only Jisoo who can't stay still . She walked back and forth in front of the room. She didn't want to sit or stand in one place because she didn't want to think of any stupid ideas that something bad would happen to her grandfather. It's been almost 9 hours that her grandfather in that scary room.

It's really unpredictable. The operation supposed to be on Thursday which meant there would be three days left but her grandfather's condition suddenly became worst and it's the only choice to save her grandfather. She supposed to come back from Namhae today and be ready for the operation the next days, but luck would never be on her side. During the after-party in Namhae, her aunt called her in tear that her grandfather had to do the surgery before the date as his condition became worst and told her to hurry back to Seoul since she didn't know what to do and was very nervous. Also it's always Jisoo who took care of him and knew everything about hospital thing. Beside that she told her to be prepared for any outcomes.

After the call ended, Jisoo rashly went to the airport without telling anyone even Suho or Taehyung. Thankfully to Jennie, she managed to get the fastest flight that night. Jennie could come along if she wasn't the face of the party. Inside her, there were a lot of thoughts that she can think of about her grandfather. At the same time, she prayed and prayed to the God to save her grandfather from this terrible situation. Even though, she wasn't there but she could know pretty well, what was happening to her grandfather and how he would suffer. She kept imagining things and tear automatically felt down from her eyes.

" Noona clams down. Our grandfather will be okay." Her cousin came to comfort her. Since she came, Jisoo wasn't right in her state. Once she would lost in her thoughts and once she would walk back and forth or she would stare blankly to the operation door. Jeongwoo was nervous as well but seeing Jisoo like this, made him more nervous and worried.

" Jeongwoo is right. You should take care of yourself too. You haven't eaten anything yet." Chaeyoung added.

" I am not hungry. I will eat until I know how is my grandfather." She replied.

" Noona! We all are worried and nervous as well but you have to eat. Look at you now, you are so weak and tired. You need energy to take care of grandfather when he comes out." Doyoung couldn't stand it anymore.

" Okay. I'll eat it now."

" Here come and sit down." Wendy told her. Her aunt gave her a roll of Kimbap that she bought near the hospital and Jeongwoo handed her a drink before found a place near her.

After more than two hours, the light on the operation room turned from red to green which meant the surgery had finished. Everyone got up and rushed to the door, following the operation door opened. The doctor came out alone. Everyone asked the doctor at the same time that how was their grandfather. The doctor looked at them and finally faced Jisoo who looked at him hopefully. The doctor took out his face mask before telling them.

" We're sorry. We have tried our best. He couldn't endure it anymore." The doctor found it hard to tell them, especially Jisoo. He knew very well about how much Jisoo loved and cared about her grandfather, and how important he is to her. He had witnessed everything about what these two had met. He also had so much loves to grandfather too. He was so kind and tolerant. He was so so good to describe. While he was staying in the hospital, he had brought many happy moments to the nurses and doctors. Everyone here had share his happy and sad moments together. Everyone loved and appreciated him so much. Losing him made everyone here saddened too.

Tears fell down from everyone's eyes. Her aunt couldn't hold it silently. She cried out loud and hugged her son who also cried. Wendy and Doyoung held their mouths and tried their best not to cry, but ended up crying along with other.
