"Lex...Alex....hey Alex darling can you hear me?"
A familiar voice kept nagging me till I realized the voice to be none other than the old librarian which I still haven't gotten the name of.
"wh..aat happened.... Where's jade? Why does my head hurt?"
I'm getting overly worked up, but sensing my distress Mr Frizzy curled himself onto my lap and started nuzzling me to pat him. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a heavy old book casually flipped over to a page of interest, I began to reach out and was barely able to grasp the book in my hands when i was interrupted by the my sugar induced friend Jade who came sprinting round the bend to reach a sudden halt in front of me, with a facial expression of pure bliss.
She screeched at the top of her lungs and with great determination, dragged me up from off the floor with the old book still in my hands to lead me down a path filled end to end with coding manuals from different eras. Grabbing as many books as our arms allow us to carry we made our way back to the main area of the store with my own little jewel at the bottom of the pile.
Once the lady got to my book her eyes went wide with bewilderment like she has seen this book before.
"Wh..ere did you find this" slightly confused
"I found it laying on the ground beside me when I woke up"
She sighs with great determination
"Did by chance Mr fuzzy guided you to this bookshelf that you found the book in?"
Astounded that she knew about this "yee..ss actually he did beckon me down countless rows of books but didn't enter the 34th corridor though"
Her eyes lit up with great wonder muttering to herself in a barely audible tone
"you're the key"
Looking at her confused I wanted more information
"A..kkkey ffor what?" as soon as those words escaped my lips she stilled her movements
"I have said to much"
In a blink of an eye i was stationed at the front of the building with my books towering over me in my arms. Glancing back at the building, the only thing that i saw was a tabby cat and two uniquely familiar pair of caramel eyes.
