as i arrived home nailea was already there waiting for me.

"finally! i thought i was gonna have to sleep here tonight." she said as she walked up to me.

"sorry i had to take care of something." i said.

"whatever you say, anyways about moving in with me. have you told your mom about it?" she asked changing the conversation.

"yea, she's completely fine with it as long as i have a place to stay at." i said.

"great. then get to it." nailea said.

"right now?" i asked.

"well yeah, your mom told me kristian left, kyle's currently at a condo close to the chase center arena. and keith found an apartment, sadly." she said.

"they all left already?" i asked.

she nodded.

wow, without even saying a goodbye.

love you guys too.

"fine, i'll go grab my stuff too." i said.

i ran upstairs to get my duffel bag filled with stuff i packed before we came here.

then i went to my mom's bedroom to say goodbye.

something my brothers don't know how to do.

"please lani. be careful. i really am trusting y'all on this one. don't disappoint me." she said.

"of course. well, i gotta go. bye mom!" i said then kissed her cheek.

she waved from the front door as we left the house.

"ready for adulthood?" nailea asked as if she's more mature than me.

"yea, right. what do you know about being an adult." i asked.

"for your information i know a lot of things about being an adult." she said.

"like?" i asked.

"like not drinking too much tequila or you'll get this." she said as she showed me her broken pinky.

i laughed.

"mhm." i mumbled.

we arrived to her apartment and it looked decent.

the neighbors although did not.

"we here!" she squealed.

"let's get it." i said.

we walked inside and she helped me with my other bags.

i promise i didn't pack a lot.

"bitch. why did you pack so much?" she whined.

"that's just my extra clothes. just in case you know?" i said.

"just in case for what? when there's a fucking zombie apocalypse and you'll have no clothes." she said.
