"even though my brothers and i don't have a dad anymore i still think i do." she sighed.

"keilani, i know it's frustrating but it'll all be worth it in the end." i began.

she wiped her tears away.

"listen to me. if you love something so much, let it go for now. if it's meant to be, it'll come back to you." i spoke.

"promise me you won't forget that." i said.

"i won't." she chuckled.

i smiled as i pulled her in for a side hug. 

i softly brushed my hand up and down her arm. 

after a few minutes i finally realized, so i let go.

"so, uhm. i hope you feel better. but we really need to get out of here." i explained.

she nodded.

never in my life have i given advice to anyone.

feels good to be useful, not gonna lie.

after having that conversation with steph, i'm convinced that deep down he still cares for people.

we finally made it to stephen's home and it is twice the size of the other home we were at.

the boys are in the living room on their ipads.

while ashton is sleeping on the couch, peacefully.

and i just noticed that klay was there with them.

watching with jaden.

"hey klay." i spoke.

"what's up keilani." he smiled.

i sat down next to him.

"so, how you've been?" he asked.

"well, i do get a little sad here and there. but steph helps me get through it." i said.

"i've noticed. steph's been way too soft for you lately." he smirked.

"what? no, he just knows how it feels to be in my position right now." i explained.

"not just that. steph is slowly back to his regular self because of you." he said.

"not just me, you too." i awkwardly laughed.

"don't deny it, keilani. i see the way his face would light up when you entered a room. or when you would speak, he would focus all his attention on you." klay mentioned.

"klay believe what you want." i laughed as i stood up.

"why do you keep hiding the fact that you're growing feelings for him?" he asked.
