Days have passed, Jeongwoo found himself walking with Sunhee again. It's her first day of school. He wishes he could hold her hand, but that would be too fast, right?
"You see, it's my first time going to a regular Korean school. I don't think I'll be able to catch up well." Sunhee started.
"Are the kids in U.S good?" Jeongwoo asked, too far from the things that Sunhee just said.
Sunhee smiled brightly and looked at Jeongwoo who was looking straight at the street. "Yes. Surprisingly, they took care of me there."
"I can take care of you at school." Jeongwoo said out of the blue.
He was about to punch himself mentally again, but he thought that it's a sweet move.
"You promised that, right?" He glanced at Sunhee who is currently grinning at him.
She's cute. He makes him feel butterflies in his stomach.
"Yep. It was my job since we were kids. I just took a break for seven years, but I never resigned." He smiled, without looking at Sunhee.
"Wow Jeongwoo, boys like you doesn't talk like that anymore! They get embarrassed." Jeongwoo gave her a confused look when he caught her looking at him again.
"Really? Since when do I get myself embarrassed in front of you? You remember the time when you told me to swim for you in a pool and when I did it, I almost drowned because I actually don't know how to swim?" He casually talked. Sunhee laughed upon hearing his words, remembering that scene.
"Yeah. You told me that there was something wrong in the water so you did not swim properly. Then your mother told me that you really can't swim. I felt bad!"
"At least I know how to swim now. My brother taught me." Jeongwoo said proudly.
"A character development then, Jeongwoo-yah. Seven years is indeed a long journey. People you once knew have changed after those years."
"I did not change. I'm still the nerdy Jeongwoo you once knew. You were the one who changed, Sunhee." He answered, while glancing at her.
They are about to arrive at their school. They can see some students with the same uniform as them in the other side of the street. Jeongwoo wants this talk to not end, he still wants to talk to her.
"I did not too! My heart did. It was replaced by another heart, but I'm still Sunhee who lent you some activity books for you to answer!"
"I doubt that. You became so much prettier than before." He whispered, too coward to say it out loud.
But then, "Hey, I heard that! Don't worry. You look handsome than before too."
