(Herooji I think you'll love this chapter.)
As Momo began reading, Shoto walked in.
"It's only been you and Dabi for a few hours. Why is that?" She asked not looking up. Shoto kneeled down.
"Wendi doesn't know how to watch you, Shigaraki hates you, and Twice is busy recruiting. Sorry about pushing you. I get a 'little' angry when I talk about our reasonings." He put air quotes around 'little'.
"You froze the doorknob and pushed me to the ground. I have a bruise on my lower hip because of it." She pouted. She had looked up for once. She glared at Shoto.
"Can I see?" He asked. Momo turned deep red. She squirmed and scooted away from him.
"D-dont say that again. Please!" She begged. He nodded and looked over her shoulder.
"Whatcha reading about?"
"Your equipment. I already made Toga's in exchange for good food. Do you need anything?"
"I need questions."
She looked up at him again. He had questions for her? That was a bit surprising.
"Why did you change? You were such a- a brat and now you're the most wonderful woman I know." He had changed his position from kneeling to sitting cross legged only three centimeters in front of Momo's face.
His breath smelt amazing. Anytime Mineta got too close, she almost vomited because of his bad breath. Shoto's breath smelt like cinnamon for some reason. She liked cinnamon.
"Well... I thought everyone lived like me. My mother wasn't the nicest when I was little, she's gotten better over the years. I had no idea of the concept of 'poverty' or 'middle class'. Then a girl wearing rags for clothes came to school one day and I realized I was living a dream life. It was a big wake up call." She explained. Thinking of her past actions made her cringe.
"Ok. What happened to your hair? It was a black color."
"It's dulled down because I haven't been outside or washed it. It's still black. Anyways, when can I shower? I'm pretty sure I smell bad."
He laid his head in her lap and put his hands on his stomach. He crossed his legs and relaxed.
"You smell fine. I can get you new clothes if you want."
"Please?" She begged.
He laughed and grabbed her face. He had a small smirk on his face as he looked her in the eye. It made Momo's face flush slightly red but not that red.
"Maybe I will. For a kiss." He winked.
Now Momo was halfway dead. She was freaking out now. "Is this a joke?"
He shook his head. Sitting up, he leaned in. She didn't need clothes that bad. She wasn't going to give in. No. He probably didn't even have any clothes! Instead of kissing him, she put her fingers to his lips.
"Who's clothes are you giving to me?"
"I have a few hoodies. Toga has leggings, and you can wear some other stuff."
Momo thought about it and stared at him. A hoodie and leggings was a good deal. She moved her fingers and leaned in.
"YO RATS, WHAT THE F-" Twice shouted. They were only a centimeter away from kissing and Twice had interrupted it. "Ooooh I'm telling Shigaraki! Use protection."
When he said that, Momo went back to reading. Shoto continued to stare at her, fascinated in her eyes. They were focused and careful so she didn't make a mistake in the equipment.
"Yo, Half n half. Bounce. I'm watching her now." Dabi hissed. Shoto stuck his tongue out and flipped off the other scarred man. Momo was shocked that they could do that to each other. It seemed extremely rude.
The teenager left and Dabi crouched down to glare at Momo. "What do you want?" She asked him, still reading. He grabbed her by the chin and made her look at him.
(YOO DABI HAS THE GOOD EYES.)
His eyes were so pretty. That turquoise blue matched Shoto's left eye. Kind of odd.
"You're working so slow. Why is that?" His voice was like nails on a chalkboard. Aside from his burned up face, his voice made it hard to find him attractive in the slightest.
"I want it to be perfect. Don't rush me and you won't have faulty equipment."
He made a 'tch' sound and used her face to throw her onto the ground. "Just because you have a pretty face doesn't mean I won't ruin it. Stop talking back and we won't have a problem."
"You'll kill me because I talked back?"
"Not kill because you're useful. I'll just make sure your parents don't recognize you."
Momo blinked and went back to reading. Dabi watched over her.
-----
Murielle was suspicious of her own child. She wasn't limping, her leg seemed to be fine. She acted totally different anywhere she went. What the hell was wrong with her?
She left her daughter at UA and returned to the hospital. She had to check on August. She really wanted to see him. He must've been asleep still.
Walking towards her husband's room, she hesitated to put her hand on the doorknob. She felt like something she wouldn't like would be in the room. Like a villain had killed him. She whispered a small song to calm herself down.
She finally pushed down on the door, walking inside. She greeted the bodyguards that were constantly looking after him. If the League was trying to turn him into a Nomu, she was paying them to prevent that. The blonde bodyguard had a forcefield quirk, the other had a shield quirk. They were protecting August at any cost and she appreciated it.
Before she could look at August, she closed her eyes. She wanted to calm down.
She faced her husband again and opened her eyes. Her heart pounded in her chest as she ran up to him. She was so happy to see him awake. Her tears fell out and she hadn't even known she was going to cry.
"Hey, Muri. You're quite happy to see me. Sorry for making you worry." He said.
"I'm never letting you go."
"I'm not either."
(So, August ain't dead :). Did I do a good job with the 'kiss' between Momo and Shoto?)
