CHAPTER 5

                                        FIRST DAY
August 24,2019
I woke up to somebody banging on my door like they the police or sumn. I heard Jayda's voice shouting at me to get up cause it the first day of school. I looked at my phone and saw that it was 7:30 and school start at 8:30 so I have one hour to get ready and head to school. I started my morning routine after that I when and got dressed in a black hoodie with black ripped jeans and with a black checkers vans.

I headed downstairs a took a apple out of the vase cause it ain't look like nobody cook so imma have to wait til lunch time or sumn.
As I headed to the bus stop I saw the same black Chevy Camaro slowing down and it stop where I was. The window wined down I saw that it was K'Lah in the passenger seat.

"Get in!"she ordered.

I got in and when I looked in the driver's seat I was damn near shocked. It was that same dude from the FoodCourt.
"Good morning,umm thanks for the ride you didn't have too."

"Morning, girl you good"she replied.

As for the dude he just gave me a head nod and started the journey to the school.
"Oh girl this my cousin Jay," she told me.

"Ughh,hi."

"Wassup ma" he smirked knowing I told him not to call me 'ma' .

I rolled my eyes and even replied. I saw that we were at school he parked the car and we got out.
"Bye Jay." K'Lah said.

"Imma pick y'all up after school." He replied.

"You don't have too have to take me home that's find." I started.

"Girl you good as I said before he don't mind." She replied.

We headed into school,and started our journey to class did I mention K'Lah and I had the same schedule so we good. Our first class was English. We stepped into the classroom and was greeted by loud chattering we had seize since we open when they it was only us they returned to their conversation.
A caramel skin girl with curly hair dressed in a blue top with knickers and a blue checkers vans shouted at K'Lah.
"Yoo K'Lah over here!!"she shouted.

"We're coming!!" K'Lah answered.

As we took our seats K'Lah started to introduce us.
"Melody this Rebbeka,Bek this Melody she new." K'Lah said.

"Nice too meet you gurl" she said.

After I said my greeting, an man which is probably in his late 50s walked in and the class quiet down as he started writing on the board.
"Alright good morning class my name as most of you know is Mr. Mallcum I will be your english teacher for the rest of the semester...." he started .

I drowned him out as he stared listing a few of the rules which I had known from summer school.
 
****TIME SKIPS -Lunch Time-****
It was now lunch time and K'Lah, Rebbeka and I went to the school yard to eat our lunch. As we sat down we engaged in our conversation we didn't even notice this girl waking up to us.

"K'Lah can you tell your cousin to call me back like ASAP"she stared.

"Girl who a look like to you?"K'Lah answered.

"Ummm"

"Bitch getchu yuh herpes ass away from here that's why Jay dont fuck with you no more" K'Lah stated.

Rebbeka and I started to laugh . I seen that shorty was staring at me so I decide to speak up.
"Ughh can I have my face back dammnn," "if you gonna say sumn speak don't be staring in ma face shorty" I replied.

"Bitch who you talking to?"She asked.

"Umm it sure ain't me staring at ma damn self so am taking to you."I replied.

K'Lah and Rebbeka started to snickered and I guess she annoy of us cause homegirl started raising voice.
"IS SUMN FUNNY CAN I FUCKING LAUGH TOO!!"She said.

"Ayeee imma need you to take that 10 to a 2 and move away from the table 'fore ma fist catches your face"K'Lah said.

" I  wish you would bitch"she said.

K'Lah started to get up and I seen shorty swallow real hard.
"Bitch repeated that again let me hearK'Lah asked.

She didn't even say anything she just walk away. As she was slaying away Rebbeka and I started to laugh as her  weave almost flew off her head bitch need to sue her stylist that shit ain't install properly.

"Damnnnn please tell Jay ain't messing with her?"Rebbeka asked.

"Girl you mad of course he not"K'Lah replied.

"Anyways Miss Melody tell us about your self and where you from since you just moved here?"asked Rebbeka.

"I'm from Jamaica am 16 ma birthday is nice month umm I don't even know what to tell you honestly cause there ain't much about me "I shrugged.

"Girl yes there is you just shy come on we're friends now" K'Lah stared.

I chuckled and started again "Well what you wanna know?"

After we got know each other we headed to our after lunch classes. We were in our last ma phone seen that I got a notification from instagram.
I saw that it was Jay who texted. I rolled my eyes cause if this homeboy did see me this mornin I would be long forgotten.
I carried with my work. The bell rang K'Lah and I got up and we saw that Rebbeka was waiting on us.

When we reach the parking I saw Jay's car and a BMWi8 next to it.
"Ayye K'Lah there go your boyfriendddd," Rebbeka said mimicking BSimone.

I laughed and asked "Who her boyfriend"

"Girl my brother Ayden him and Jay are like bestfriend but Jay don't know these two are together."She explained.

"He's not my nigga,that boy got hoes left right and center"K'Lah said.

As we approach the cars two fine looking dudes got out of the i8.
"Wassup K'Lah who dis?"

"This Bek and I bestie Melody"she answered.

"Dammnn my own brother didn't even see his own sister" Bek said pouting.

"Shut up hoe I see you ass everyday"the dude am guess Ayden said.

"Am Ayden this Kendrick and I'm guessing you know Jay"Ayden introduced him and the other dude.

"Wadddup,"Kendrick said.

I gave him a head nod as Jay approached me. This nigga is about 6'6 .
"You ain't seen me text on the gram,"he asked.

"Yea I did just didn't answered," I muttered.

"Why?"

"Cause you wouldn't have texted me if you did see me this morning,".

"So what you in feeling or sumn?"he said.

"Boy byee what I look like being in ma feelings over some nigga" I asked.

He laughed, as K'Lah approached the us and asked if we were leaving.
"Gurl I see you" she wiggles her eyebrows at me.

"Whatcu talking 'bout."I asked.

"You and Jay"she replied.

"Girl I just meet him chilled and he you cousin so am good off that" I said

"Mhmm"she replied.

I got in the back seat and K'Lah started playing Queen Naija Butterflies Part 2. I sang along with her as I saw that we were approaching my house. Jay parked the car as I got out.
"Thanks for the ride."

"Your welcome bestie see you tomorrow imma pick you up."She replied.

"Ayoo"I heard Jay.

I turned around and waiting for him to speak.
"Make sure you reply" he stated.

I gave him a head nod and with that he drove off and I headed into my house.
