"Okay, make way for the princess of Parkon, Wendy Gilbert!" my three year old little brother Harold introduced me in his little baby voice as I walked into the lounge room, dressed as if I was a beautiful princess. I was wearing a long dress, which was actually a medium length dress of my mother's, very large shoes that were also my mum's, and my hair was the best I could style it too, a side ponytail.

"Thank you, thank you, but I must rest, now shoo shoo." I sighed in a fake posh voice as I sat down on the couch and turned on the TV to my favourite show, Sesame Street.

Oh how I wished I was a real princess. I would get to do all of the things that I wanted, no one could boss me around, and life would be perfect. At least that's what I thought.
