Insomnia (21)-
Zuyi couldn’t sleep. Every time she closed her eyes she saw that damn lab.
Beep, beep, beep.
5 am. Val groaned beside her, and blinked her eyes open. Zuyi got out of bed, and went to make breakfast. Val shuffled up behind her.
“How’d you sleep?”
“Slept good, you?”
“I slept well.”
It turned into a cycle. Not sleeping, getting up, lying. She hated it. What she hated more though, were the hallucinations.
After a couple days, she started seeing them. The doctors, that girl. Her hands went to her neck, making sure the collar wasn’t there.
“ You okay Zuyi?”
