(Elijah's POV)

The time stops, Sogoleri stands at where he was, with an evil grin on his face.

Why will he be smiling when he is getting kill? Anyways, I'll need to kill him before my body can't stand.

I walk towards Sogoleri and about to stab him with the dagger.

" AH... " My stomach feels a huge pain then I collapsed on the ground, I cover my stomach with my hands and begin coughing.

I difficultly look up, trembling.

" Elijah, you are indeed an assassin genius. " What in the earth is going on? Why is... Sogoleri able... to move while I activate my power? Did he kick my stomach?

I widen my eyes then look at him with terror, confused. He walks towards me, bends down then hold up my chins.

" You managed to kill everyone else in the mansion, I'll tell you my power as a prize. " he then holds my neck hardly, pushing towards the ground.

I can't breathe... I-

" My magic power is to invalidate other people's magic power, which means time pause doesn't work on me. " Sogoleri finishes up his sentence then let go of my neck, leaving me coughing non-stop.

" Elijah, you are a talented person and I would not like to waste it, I'll give you another chance." Sogoleri looks at me, takes another deep breath, "  Work for me and listen to my orders forever, then I'll let you stay alive. Isn't that a great deal? "

Working for him? Listen to his orders? Forever?

Why will I even want to stay alive when Emi and Sinar are not with me anymore? The only reason why am I alive right now... is to revenge for Emi.

" What do you think? Elijah. " Sogoleri stare at me, without blinking.

" haha... HAHAHA! " I begin laughing uncontrollably, I have no idea on what is going on with me, this is my first time laughing like this. But, there's only one word coming up in my mind.

" NEVER! " I yell then I jump up, " TIME PAUSE! "

( Sogoleri's POV)

Time Pause? Didn't I already tell him that won't work on me?

I look around and find him disappeared, he must be hiding while I was shocked at what he did. So he was faking that he activated the power, to scare me.

Hahahha, interesting. I seriously don't want to kill this kid.

I look around the room and not having any clue about where he is. " Elijah, you are truly interesting, come out and promise to work for me forever! Don't make me kill you! "

(Elijah's POV)

I'm right now in the ceiling, looking for a chance to kill him. Luckily there are boxes that cover me, so he is not able to see me. Yet, I'm not able to see where he is too. He is an assassin, he'll walk without any sound, it'll be difficult for me to locate where he is now. Although he talked out loud just now, he stopped talking for 2 minutes... I wonder if he's already able to find where I am. I have to finish this up quick, I don't think my body can hold anymore, I overused my magic power, my heart is going to-

I only have less than 15 minutes before I can't stand anymore... is there any way to get close to him and kill him?

I look around myself and try to find is there anything else I can use to make this assassination easier.

Boxes, shelves, wall... there's nothing-

Oh wait, I think this might work... although I don't have much assurance, better than doing nothing.

(Sogoleri's POV)

It's been five minutes since I stop making any sound, he must be in this room, he doesn't have time to escape from this room. But I wonder where he is-

"Ping"
I heard a sound from my back, I slightly look back, wary.

"Bottle? " I confusedly look at it.

Suddenly, some boxes fall and about the crash on me.

This must be Elijah's strategy, I have to keep high attention, in case he suddenly raid.

I jumped back then observe the place around me, look what happened. After seconds, the bookshelves behind me fall. I look at the falling shelves then jump forward to avoid the shelves hitting me.

" Sogoleri. " I heard Elijah's voice as I look forward, at that moment, he is already being really close to me, having his dagger prepared.

I was about to step backward, but he uses his hand to catch my clothing and pull myself towards him.

"Damn- "
