Harry may have a Malfoy but you had someone worse... you had a Snyde. Specifically Merula Snyde, she's been giving you hell since your first year and today she decided to test her luck.
"Come on Y/N, we all know you're the slut of the century" Merula snickered.
"Just go away Merula, I have other stuff to do rather than waste my time on you" you argued back, anyways you knew she was the one responsible for the rumours going around.
"Why? Because it's true. Your parents would be so disappointed in you L/N." You stopped in your tracks at the mention of your parents. They died in the previous war whilst trying to protect you, it's a rough subject to talk about but why wouldn't it be. Seeing your parents get killed would mess up any kid.
"Don't you dare talk about my parents like that, they loved me" you snapped.
Snyde laughed in return "oh L/N, you parents got themselves killed trying to get away from you, I know I would be ashamed to have a daughter like you."
"What is going on here" Professor Snape walked towards the commotion, you hadn't even realised you were crying. Instead of answering snape you ran. You couldn't handle tearing up in front of the whole year, especially Merula Snyde.
You paced down the halls, the tears blurring your vision, you had no idea where you were heading but your feet answered for you. Intuition led you to Snape's office, when you entered you fell to the floor sobbing. Not long after Severus arrived.
"Y/N are you okay? Weasley told me everything, I'm sorry I didn't stop Snyde sooner." Severus walked over to you with worry plastered on his face.
Sev knew your parents was a sore spot so you didn't need to answer. He wrapped you into his embrace whilst stroking your hair.
"Let it all out, I'll be here." You turned into his chest breathing in his scent.
You both stayed in each other's arms for a while, eventually you started to calm down listening to his heartbeat. You honestly don't know what you would do without this tall, dark, older man. You loved him and he loved you unconditionally.
