Friends and "friends" are two different things.
FRIENDS are great. They're people we all need in life. We fall back on them for help and support when nothing is going right. We enjoy hanging out with them, talking with them and just generally being around them. They know how to cheer you up when you're down. They just know how to make you feel warm on the inside. But "FRIENDS" should not exist. "FRIENDS" are there for you during our happiest times, but when you fall unexpectedly they disappear. Hurting you by not being their to support you. Suddenly you mean nothing to them. Words such as, "we're no longer friends," and "I don't think we should be friends anymore," roll off of their tongues so easily. With no hesitation. With no stuttering. They're tongue's suddenly become a slip and slide for their words. They make you feel useless and worthless. They're bullies in disguise. They only want you when you have something they need or want. You wonder what happened to words like these, "I've got your back," and "I'll always be here for you!" It is those words that seem to stumble and fall from their mouths. You wonder what gave then the right to come into your life and wreck you! You may wonder what you ever did to deserve this. You did nothing darling. The truth is we need people like them in our lives to show us how strong we are. To show us, what type of people not to be.
After all, "FRIENDS" are just bullies in disguise.
