I stared at him with confusion at first. The dance? I thought that was happening at my school. Wait. I chuckled and held up my hands. "Wait wait wait how do you know about the dance?" Naail simply chuckled and responded. "That's because we go to the same university." I must've stopped breathing for a second, because Naail laughed. We went to the same university and I haven't noticed him once. I felt so ashamed of myself. If only I had a bigger obsession over him. I would've known a long time ago. Naail chuckled nervously, still waiting for a proper response. "So..Nimrah? Will you..?" I snapped out of my thoughts and giggled nervously. "Of course!" I didn't know what to do after. Kiss him or hug him? I don't know if he still thought of me as just another friend or something more, so in the end, we hugged, but I made sure to savor this hug. This was a special moment to me and I will be sure to not forget that..ever! We pulled away and I softened as I saw Naail's expression. His smiled stretched and his eyes widened with happiness. "That's great Nimrah! I'm glad that you would go out with a jock like me." He raised his eyebrows and looked smug. I chuckled and pushed him away. "Yeah yeah." I said sarcastically. It was a good thing that Eliza taught me how to hide my true emotions in front of someone. (Eliza: no problem-). We hugged again before going back inside the house. I heard one of his friends calling him over to play a round of Smash Bro's and he looked at me after accepting. "So..see you at the dance?" I nodded and smiled brightly. "Of course jock, can't wait." He chuckled and nudged me playfully before running over to his friends. I laughed and watched him run to his friends. I sighed and put my hand to my heart. I couldn't believe what just happened. I should tell someone about this..probably Eliza. I've told her everything that I feel towards him anyway. I walk over to a table and sit down, typing a message to send to Eliza.
Me: "Guess what just happened"
Eliza: "um let's see..you're in a traditional party so...something happened with Naail"
Eliza knew me too well. I mean, we've been friends through high school and even now! We go to the same university which is great. I wore a smirk and chuckled lightly.
Me: "Yes. Well...he asked me to the Fairy Tale Dance!"
Eliza: "woah but how could he...wait..DOES HE GO TO THE SAME UNIVERSITY AS US?!?"
Me: "YES CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?!"
Eliza: "I DID NOT SEE THIS COMING! IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU!"
Me: "IM HAPPY TOO! I NEVER THOUGHT THAT THIS WOULD HAPPEN."
Me: "But i did tell you that he was going to be mine someday ;)"
Eliza: "And here we go with the whole obsession"
Me: "XD"
Eliza: "What? I mean you remind me everyday and I've been trying to make him ya know..talk to you more"
That's true. Every time she's invited to a party and Naail is there. I would be too nervous to talk to him. So Eliza, being nice as she is, would always go to him and try to tell him that o was here and that we should talk. It works..but only for a minute. His friends would always want him over so we couldn't have long talks. Our moments now were long, which I thought was lucky.
Me: "So..how's your love life?"
Eliza: "Pretty good! Tanyon has been helping me cope with the stress of work."
Me: "I guess thats a pro of having a boyfriend."
Eliza: "Yup!"
Me: "Well I won't disturb you from your work. I'll see you tomorrow!"
Eliza: "See ya! And spend some more time with him! You're making progress! And remember, tell me every detail of what happened. EVERY"
I chuckled and put my phone away. I just stayed and watched Naail as he played with his friends in the living room. We would occasionally spot me and grin devilishly. Of course, I blushed like crazy. Once the party was over, I waved a goodbye to Naail as he winked at me, making me blush. I couldn't wait for the dance.
