"RONALD!!"she yelled while looking at his empty bags with hardly a pair of underwear in them. "I know I know I am getting there we've got two days before leaving" he yells while running down the stairs." I swear you are going to be the death of me" he mumbles as she rolls her eyes walking away. They where going to return to Hogwarts for their 7th year they got a letter from Hogwarts stating that if they would like to return to redo their 7th year considering none got the education they actually needed .Of course the golden trio agreed to go back with each other. Hermione went and said goodbye to the Weasleys she had to get home...well the place she used to call home and make sure she is ready herself for Hogwarts.
I haven't slept recently I have just found out last month about my parents apparently they where in Australia I haven't talked to anyone about them other then the occasional "I found them after the war and now live with them" lie she told everyone I just don't have the guts you could say I am not ready I am not sure if ill ever be. recently I have been living in a hotel the closest one I could find to the train station.
Me and Ron didn't really "work out" he didn't love me and I didn't love him at least not in that way, we are still close friends most definitely it was awkward at first but after awhile we just put the past behind us Ginny has been here for me even if its not the way the way I always need the thought counts.
I was expecting to get head girl this year but the letter said something about how there are different plans I mean honestly why not just state them in the letter this whole year so far has been giving me anxiety.
I was waiting outside of the train station for Harry and Ron when... "Hermione how have you been" "oh harry glad to see you now where is Ronald" I then heard footsteps behind me "I am here I was trying to get away from the news people there crazy ya know wont leave us alone anywhere we go"
He wasn't kidding they have been trying to figure out where I have been living for months now ever since it came out I wasn't living at the Weasley house even my friends have but I just tell everyone I have been living with my parents much easier then explaining the whole situation besides I have been working on how to get there memories back this whole time and I think I am going to get a breakthrough soon.
"What the HELL did you know he would be coming back!!" Harry's yelling got my attention I looked to where his eyes where looking and saw the familiar blonde hair I have known since coming to Hogwarts. There was yelling and flashes in his direction my head started spinning my throat started closing I couldn't see I couldn't hear I couldn't breathe i could feel my whole body shaking, I started seeing black and green dots and then just black.
I awoke on a uncomfortable rock hard seat my eyes flew open I couldn't catch my breath I couldn't focus on anything "Breathe Hermione just breathe you're okay." I looked into someone's eyes and realized it was harry I could feel my heart beating back to normal and I could focus on just harry I sat there staring at him for ten minutes just calming and cursing myself for letting that happen. "Hermione what happened one minute you where fine the next you just blacked out" I just looked at him I couldn't think straight I needed to get out of there. "I am sorry harry I have got to go to the loo" I slammed the door open and ran to the loo. I am so confused I couldn't think I just sat there on the floor sitting against the door level with the toilet and breathed and breathed I am not even sure how long I sat on that floor I just couldn't move why is he back why his aunt held me to the floor and carved that awful word into my arm and he just stood there and watched and he killed my friends people I loved and he is aloud to show his face again who does he think he is showing up here and standing next to the people he has hurt so much I couldn't handle it.
I was debating on if I should just jump off the train and walk the way home. I finally felt okay enough to leave the toilet I pushed the door open and met eyes with ginny.
"Hermione harry sent me to check on you he said you've been in here for a couple hours" My eyes widened I didn't think it had been that long. "I'm fine I just needed some alone time to think" I slid past her and saw a empty cart I went in and started practicing some new spells I have been learning to get my parents memory back.
As we arrived at Hogwarts I got all my things together and started on my search to find the rest of my friends so if I where to run into the Malfoy I wouldn't be alone. I still have not been able to wrap my head around the fact that he is here . I seen Ron and Ginny's bright red hair a few feet in front of me and ran to catch up they where in the middle of a conversation when they all saw me. "Hermione we have been wondering where you've been this entire time we were worried sick" Ron said as his eyes ran over my body making sure I wasn't hurt he's been doing that since we started getting into deathly situations. "I'm fine Ron I just saw a empty compartment and fell asleep I guess I just didn't get enough sleep last night this day has been exhausting" they all took that as a good response and continued on their way Hermione's mind was elsewhere and her eyes searched as she walked being sure nothing was going to come at them.
Every since the war she's been so paranoid about people there intentions and her surrounding areas being at Hogwarts doesn't feel safe anymore not like it used to as they were walking to the great hall she good feel her fingers twitching and her eyes scanning everywhere in her eyes reach she didn't feel like talking or listening to what McGonagall had to say its probably just going to bring up memories that she wanted too keep at the back of her mind.
She didn't pay any attention to McGonagall until she heard everyone gasp her head flew towards where she was standing confused as to what everyone was freaked out about but McGonagall just kept apologizing looking as if she wanted to cry Hermione tapped Harry's shoulder "Harry what happened I didn't quite hear her" His head shot toward her he looked like he was going to faint " She--She said that-That a marriage law was being put into place" She didn't understand why did anyone care its not like they where the ones that had to be sent off to marry someone they didn't particularly enjoy "You all will be taking a 200 question test that will find your perfect match at eleven AM tomorrow morning" McGonagall locked eyes with Hermione and quickly looked away "I am truly sorry I tried-- I tried everything in my power to stop them from doing this but they wouldn't budge after you guys have been paired up you will move into your own living quarters and get married within the first four months then after being married the pair will be expected to be pregnant with a child within five months and there will be a class that every 7th and 6th year student will need to attend with there partner once every week...Does everybody understand?"
Hermione couldn't believe what she just heard all sixth and seventh year students are going to be forced to marry and and then have children all while finishing school. She was worried on who she would end up with she knew everyone was worried she knew that ginny and Harry would end up together you didn't have to know them to see how perfect they where together but her she couldn't even think of anyone in the great hall that would be a perfect match for her not Ron they already tried that and it didn't work not anyone she quit talking to many of her friends after the war she didn't even know who people where anymore everyone changed since the war. Everyone around her started eating but she couldn't even bear the thought of swallowing food without throwing it all up in seconds.
When they arrived at the Gryffindor common room there was conversations happening many of them all on the same subject who they would be paired with and how bloody horrible this new law was no one could understand why they just won a war to now be losing their rights of choice. Hermione couldn't handle it she couldn't think straight with everyone asking who they think everyone would be paired with no body said anything when Hermione's future partner was questioned all of their minds went blank. She went up into her room and passed out withing minutes she didn't even take time to wash her face of change out of her robes.
