Chapter 1 : The Casting

Y/n POV :

It was the first week of winter break. I woke up this morning with the sun shining in my face, with the TV in my room still playing the last episode of stranger things. (Season three) The night before I had been overwhelmingly excited because I was actually going to audition for the fourth season of stranger things! To be exact, "Will Byers's" love interest. I have always had a massive crush on Noah Schnapp since the show surfaced everywhwere.

It was still 7:35 in the morning and auditions started at 10:30 so I decided to start getting ready, hoping I could get some extra practice before my mother and I left. I quickly threw on a plain grey baggy hoodie with some leggings. I didn't want to come off as try-hard when I auditioned. After getting dressed and letting my hair down, I grabbed some breakfast then ran up to my room to start practicing. I sat on my bed calmly then me being myself, I started thinking of everything that could possibly go wrong. "what if I mess up" , "what if I don't say the right things" , "what if they don't like me". Just in time as my thoughts got the best of me, my mom called me downstairs to make sure I was ready. "All ready for you're audition y/n?" she said "Yeah pretty much, I just need to go practice a bit before we leave".

After this, I just assumed my mom went to get ready too, because I simply just went back to my room to practice again, this time thinking more positive. As the clock struck 9:45 a sudden rush of panic ran through me. We didn't live too far from when the auditions were being held so we decided to leave at (hopefully) exactly 10:00 . Even though I was ready I didn't feel as if. Rushing to the bathroom, I decided to put a tad of makeup on; I didn't want my first encounter with Noah Schnapp to be awkward because I had some dark circles under my eyes because I binged stranger things all night. After fixing myself up a bit, I saw that the clock had somehow time skipped right to 9:48 o'clock. I rushed downstairs to make sure my mother was ready, and I began putting on my nicest boots and smallest jacket, just to ensure I look cool enough for Noah. Just in time, my mom came over with her big winter coat and heavy boots just as it turned to 10 o'clock.

"Come on, mom we can't be late!"

"okay okay honey"

I rushed her outside not wanting to be late for my first encounter with Noah Schnapp, and eagarly sat in the front seat of the van. My mother seeing how I looked, threw on an embarrassing hat on my head with a giant pom pom on it so that I wouldn't be cold in all this snow. I then slouched down in my seat knowing that she wouldn't let me take it off no matter how embarrassing it was.

Audition Center, 10:25 A.M.

I hopped out of the van feeling assured that we had arrived a whole five minutes early. My mom, of course took her time. But she wasn't in love with Noah Schnapp so she didn't know how it felt. But as she finally got put of the van, I sprinted inside because we had taken a full extra minute just to get out and I really did not want to be late.

As we got inside the building, there was a massive line with probly around 1,000 people there to audition for season four. But, luckily, we all had numbers of when we were going to audition and I was number 25. I showed the security guard my pass, and then parted ways with my mother, because for some reason parents were not allowed to watch. I then stepped in my place in line and started getting anxious again. "I'm gonna mess up, I know it". My palms started getting sweaty, and my legs started shaking, but as I was lost in thought, that's when I heard it.

"Number 25 please enter the audition room"

At the moment, I felt like I was going to faint but some miracle worker standing behind me decided to just push me in. "Go already, some of us actually want to audition." Pretty pissed at that narcissist who almost damaged my wonderful knees after pushing me. That's when one of the most important parts of my life happened. I saw them; the duffer brothers, casually waiting for me to say something.
