Chapter 2 : The Casting Website

Y/n POV :

After being pushed in, the first thing I saw was, the two Duffer brothers starring right at me. But of course that's how this works. I plopped my jacket and hat on the ground right besode me before I started doing anything; just as I saw one of them give me a glare making me uneasy. "Are you going to do anything?" one of them said. As I heard this I almost felt like being swallowed up by the ground. "A-ah, yes! Aren't you supposed to say something, then I say something back..?" I said in a shaky tone. "Ah, yes sorry." He replied. The audition then went on and not gonna lie, apart from the awkward introduction I think I did pretty good.

After I had finished I'm sure my audition went on longer than all the others, because I had went In the audition room at 12:15 but I'd left at Exactly 1 o'clock. Although I was uneasy at first, I had a small, hesitant feeling that I had a chance of getting picked. But as I left the audition room, I saw that same person who had pushed me in the room and being my salty self, I gave him the death stare hoping he world get the memo. I then went to find my mom in the giant crowd of people so she could take me home and I could feel despair but somewhat excitement in peace.

As we got home, I plopped down on my bed and started watching "beyond stranger things", so that if I get excepted onto the cast I know what everyone is like behind the screen. Or at least get a rough idea. I proceeded to watch all of the episodes until I get to the one with Noah. And as I'm watching, I notice he doesn't seem all that talkative; but his bright smile blindshines it all. As I'm watching, I get a call from my best friend, Leila. I accept the call and start babbling on about how nerve-racking the whole thing was. She, though, only wanted to know if I had met Noah because literally everyone in my school knows about my massive crush. For hours we talked about the audition and Noah of course. But then she brought up, the call.

"Y/n, you don't even know what happens when you get accepted ?!"

"Leila, you know I'm not the smartest person ever. Of course I don't know."

"It's literally so simple, if you get accepted they'll normally call you in the span of five days or so. But they'll most likely post about it somewhere for what roll the select few have been chosen for."

"Ohh, alright I guess I'll just be waiting on my phone then"
( I said in a more upsetting tone. )

That night I went to sleep as uneasily as I could. I started thinking of everything I possibly did wrong; starting from my posture going down to the way I threw my jacket on the floor. That's how insecure I felt about my audition because everyone else on stranger things was so talented and I was nothing of the sort. Although I did manage to fall asleep while listening to the sweet sound of Will byers asking to play D&D as once again I was watching stranger things.

( Time skip, 4 days ).

Friday, 7:45 A.M.

Waking up at the same time as I did on Monday, I realized that it had already been four days since the auditions. Although Leila said the regular time span to be chosen is a week, I checked the casting website anyway to see if they had picked someone for any of the rolls that were being auditioned for. As I opened the website, I scrolled through the chosen rolls until I saw "Will Byers's love interest:". after a few secondes of scrolling I finally saw it. "Will Byers's love interest: Y/n L/n". I emmediately fell off of mt bed and starred squealing screams of joy. I was going to be sharring the same set as Noah freaking Schnapp! My parents soon came rushing up the stairs to see what was going on, if I was okay. But I was way more than okay.

"Honey, what happened? Are you okay?" (they said symontainiouisly)

"Mom, dad! I got picked for the stranger things roll!"

We then all hugged then they left me alone so I could be happy in peace. Right after, I went on Instagram as quickly as I could and made my account public and archived my one post so I can give off a
mysterious-but-not-mysterious vibe. I then called Leila again to tell her the great news following all my other friends. I then thought of all the people at my school that I hate and how much they would envy seeing me on their TV screen while watching season 4. But then thought again, "why haven't I gotten that call yet..?". I sat back down and scrolled through my missed calls and found out that I had left the Duffer brothers on voice mail! I then opened the message of them telling me I had been accepted and then screen recorded it to post on my story for other people to see. This had been the most important part of my life.
