In Post-op, Hawkeye had chosen to use the point and push method to get Sidney to his new patient. Both Pierce and Hunnicut had decided to maintain a safe distance form Private Jeremy Walker until Dr Freeman had made his diagnosis and started treatment. Sidney had agreed that it was a good precaution and had patted Hawkeye reassuringly on the back before following his stretched out finger.

Taking a seat, Sidney just sat there for a moment, hoping that the patient would beginning to get used to his presence before he made any speech.

"How are your injuries today, Jeremy?" Sidney finally opened up with.

"Why do you want to know? Who are you and what's your game?"

 "I'm just here to help."

"Yeah I've heard that before." Jeremy huffed and turned his head away.

"No, I really mean it. Think of me as a negotiator, if you will. You tell me what's really bothering you and I'll see what I can do." Jeremy paused and turned his head slowly back to the Major. He adjusted himself to sit up better in the bed and moved the pillow up so he could lean comfortably on it.

"Can you find my Amy and my little George?" His eyes were wide with hope as he asked.

"I will certainly try, if you could give me an indication of where they might be." Sidney was willing to go along with the charade, in the hope it might bring to light something significant that he may be able to use to treat him.

"They must have them locked away somewhere, somewhere near. If you could just find them and see that they are ok for now."

Sidney wasn't pleased with the tone of voice or the phrasing of 'for now'. What did Jeremy have in mind once he had the information that 'Amy' and 'George' were ok?

"When you say 'they' you're referring to..." Sidney prompted.

"Them of course!" Jeremy pointed at Hawkeye and BJ, shaking his head at Sidney as if he should have known what he meant. Sidney followed his gaze with a frown, and then returned it to Jeremy with a smile.

"Just double checking. Now are you sure you don't need anything else, any painkillers?"

"No. Just find Amy and George, check they're ok. But hey, if you've got time, try looking for a way outta here." Jeremy brought his voice to a low whisper, glancing nervously around him.

"Let's tackle one thing at a time. Don't worry I'm here to help you and that's what I'm going to do." Sidney stood up and put a soothing hand on the Private's shoulder and with a smile and a small squeeze of the shoulder, Sidney left Jeremy's side. He continued to walk straight out of Post-op, in effort to maintain the illusion that he was going to do what Jeremy had asked of him.

On seeing the psychiatrist's departure, Hawkeye gave BJ a quick nod and the two doctors slowly trickled out of the ward. They didn't want to make it obvious that they were following Sidney, Jeremy would become suspicious and that would set them back ten paces, but both were eager to hear what Sidney had discovered.

Hawkeye was the first to wangle his way out of the post-op ward and into the annexed changing area in time to see the door swing back in place. It could have only been one person and so Hawkeye followed the trail he had left. BJ emerged into the changing area in time to see Hawkeye leave and he too duly followed the trail.

Outside Hawkeye caught sight of Sidney right ahead of him, heading across the compound. He was too far ahead for a call to reach his ears efficiently so Hawkeye continued walking, bring his pace up a notch. As BJ exited the post-op ward, his eyes fixed on his best friend, figuring he must have Sidney in his vision, BJ began to hurry after Hawkeye. All three doctors were evenly spaced in their tracking of the doctor in front of them. Their efforts lead them across the camp, passed the mess tent and into the Colonel's Office.
